I have to tell you guys this one - My 65 F100 had a 240 6 cyl in it. Before I rebuilt it the thing had a clatter in it at low speeds - I thought is was loose wrist pins. I took it home to rebuild it and it used 10 qts of oil to go 60 miles. When I got it appart it wasn't the wrist pins - It was the Pistons slapping around in the block - My Dad and I still laugh about that one! After I overhauled it that was one of the best running motors I ever had. Never let me down and the truck finally rusted away from the motor.
The '67 ran pretty good (back when it was running). It was terrible on gas, and wouldn't do over sixty, but that was the gearing. I would bet I could get it started even thought it's been sitting forever. I'll have to try that this spring.
It's been snow/wind all day here at my 3rd home (Hastings). Some spots are blown clean, 4 inches in other spots. I haven't been off campus today, and I may just hang out here in my room, it's nice and warm.....
With my luck, it will just flurry til about 4:30, then start unloading so the roads will suck when I leave here at five. It's about 28 miles to Elkhorn from here. Grand.

Roads are not good west of Kearney from what I hear. Just saw one of my customers hauling one of his roll backs that was wrecked on his other roll back. Thats a bad day!
Well I hope the roads get better by Monday. I have to drive from Jersey back to good old home in Kearney...then travel to Lincoln to start the new job on the 24th.
Off the current subject but I was thinking today, is there is anything I should be particulary worried about or need to get done (other than regular maintainence) with a 1999 F250 4x4 drving such a long distance? She has 64,000 miles on her right now. I just changed the oil yesterday and replaced the worn out 35s with factory size tires. She has a K&N cold air intake so she breathes well. Tires got balanced and aligned. You think I am missing anything?
