I don't know what weight oil is in the truck either... should've asked the prior owner what he was using. I knew I should have changed the oil on Sunday! But, the roads were slick in places this morning and I suppose it would have been an adventure driving the truck today.
Actually, the 500 does pretty decent in the snow. It's got traction control and that helps quite a bit. It doesn't seem as heavy in the front like other front-wheel-drives I've owned, maybe since it's a pretty big car. I didn't opt for the all-wheel-drive version since it was a little worse on mpg's. Figured it wasn't worth it for a couple weeks of bad roads.
Ford and their marketing "gurus". They think if they rename something, it will mean new customers. The only problem with the 500 was that it was under powered. The critics told Ford, customers told Ford, etc. So, after a couple years of dismal sales, they slap some more chrome on it, put a bigger engine in it, and rename it Taurus. I don't get it.
But, it did mean I got a killer deal on the 500 when I bought it... It's not a race car but it gets the job done and decent mpg's too.
You can have my tickets since the Steelers didn't make it. I'll throw in my private jet and suite at the Hilton too
OK...let me get this straight...free tickets...your private jet...and a suite at the Hilton...all for free...right??? Naah...not good enough...throw in a limo for the weekend and you've got a deal!!! Remember...I'm a professional negotiator...I do it for a living...take it or leave it!!!
What kind off mileage are you getting on that 500. I was thinking off getting a Fusion myself. They are a nice car to but smaller. Everybody seems to like the Fusion. Was it used or new. Good Luck

I usually get around 28mpg on the highway (70+miles per hour), sometimes it will hit 30mpg. Around town it's usually 23 - 25 depending on if I'm in a hurry or not.
I bought the 500 new. I liked the Fusion a little better, but they were not offering as good incentives on those since they were selling fast last spring. I also get X-plan pricing through my employer, that helps too. The 500 has turned out to be a nice highway car. It's got tons of trunk space for our frequent road trips to see my folks in Colorado.
Fusions are nice cars, my wife and i looked at a bunch of them not to long ago. The mileage was better with the 4 cylinders but I LOVED the power of the V6. The interior was nice and the room inside wasnt to bad either. I liked the idea of the 500s over the Taurus's, sounds NEW and a little bit better in my opnion.
