I dont know about that, ive heard that too, but I have used it on a few older vehicles, and they didnt leak at all. I guess maybe on some it might.

Synthetic oil likes to clean out engines and transmissions. In some cases its the varnish and crud that is holding it together and the synthetic oil cleans it all out creating problems. If the engine uses oil it will use more with synthetic.

i think if you were on the verge of problems or leaks that switching to synthetic would hurry up the problems/leaks than if you stayed conventional.

For converting to manual go with a hydralic clutch and shouldn't be too hard, unlike trying to rig up a linkage system.

Heh when i was young and my 350 in my grand prix started leaking oil. I just changed it over to 15-40 JD oil from my dads farm, and it solved the problem!
Guess it could work the opposite way!

I have had all makes and a ton of models of different vehicles!
No better way to decide what is best then variety, that way a guy cant be ignorant in picking one!
