"People in general (calculated to set off KenP) are egocentric (calculated to set off some others) because we see things from our own perspective (calculated to set off BDOX) since our own experience is all we know except from books, history, personal experience, our families, or the crap on TV (calculated to set off all the rest)
So what happened to:
(and here I quote)
"The Sioux are cancelling all their treaties with the US and going 'self rule.' (Theoretical legal process) Is it true or not?
So what happens with the real estate? (four or five states that is Lakota Sioux land.) (Land issue) Not an issue yet - the first is as yet not resolved. *Second half of statement unchallenged supposition.
Josh, does this mean you join the Indian Nation? (Personal joke)
Or is there trouble ahead? I don't know how this works, are they only asking for their reservations? If they are cancelling all treaties, does that mean there are no reservations? (Speculation - clarification requested)
People so seldom know what they ask or want...
Is there an expert in critical thinking in the house?

I quit posting in this thread when it drifted so far off the original topic and into the stereotyping of Indians....I don't agree with stereotyping anyone but women who drive Subaru's (just kidding).
I thought the original topic was interesting but I'm not really a fan of the current trend in the thread.....I am staying tuned in case it goes back.

I wouldn't be so egocentric if the world would stop revolving around me.
You know what I say? let them have it. Also, you should know that I live in the contested area.
They can quit the US all they want, as soon as they do, we will roll in with our military and take the land for ourselves and then the land will be ours and we will not have to pay a dime. ok well, a few dimes... fuel for a few M1A1s, just for the scare factor.
Oh, and Rangerfan, I live aprox. 10 miles from a res, and I can tell you that while there are people like you describe... arent there people like that of every nationality? I have seen some of the most gifted athletes and hard workers that I have every known come off of the res, so shut it.
Sorry it took so long to reply Bruce, this one slipped under my radar somehow.
