I agree...once again how many screws holding the hub onto the spindle? That little number can make all the difference between 15 minutes per hub and 30.....I bought the hubs on my old 89 FSB for 60 bucks new warns...took me at most 15 minutes per side......switch to manuals you got more leverage that way and they are alot more durable........

I believe its 5... my dad said 6, but im pretty sure its 5, seemed to lign up to where the lugs were
there is NO conversion kit needed to switch to manual hubs. when i switched to WARN Manual hubs i just removed the auto hub assemblies AND took out the half moon shaped spaced/washer right before the wheel bearing nut "need a special tool to get those out/in. in fact here is pictures of installing the manual hubs...no pics of removing the auto's though. not sure what you guys mean about having different number of screws holding it in. my auto's had 5 and the new manuals have 6.
the first 4 pics are of the 2 special 4wd nuts and the washer that goes between them. you do not have to remove these to replace the hubs, but they do hold the wheel bearing tight.
then there is a washer/clip that is shaped like a half moon that you NEED to remove to install the manual hubs. i don't have a pic of that though. here is the rest of the hub assembly.
when you put the hub assembly in you HAVE to put the ring around the outside of the hub so it stays put AND you have to put the snap ring on the axle shaft also. 2 very important peices.

..........Hmmmmm?!?!?!?????... .. i was told from WARN that i would ONLY need to get the "Conversion kit" if my Auto Hub's had " 3 " screw's holding of the cap end ...... ......i just wanted to put in this plug for what i was told when i purchased my set of . . . . . . .
Charles where you been buddy?! Haven't seen you in a while.
I think you might be right, I think my hubs were the 3 screw type, while Travis' were the 5 screw type. Here's exactly what I found when I dissembled my hubs:
. . . . . . ahhh, shuck's U guy's, ....... ........U're Welcome ! ! ! ....,,, ,,,........... .......... ............ >>>as well, for the guy on this thread, sorry . . . . . .

so its the difference of 3 or 5 screws? if thats the case i have 5.
I need this done soon, my wheel starting binding this morning which is not good. It was also making some god awful sounds, more of a metal on metal "squeek"
sis this dagaging my whole wheel? or just the hub? I dont want to damage it any further and i just want to have to replace the hub.
So I just called York Ford (dealer near me). It will cost $74.90 for the automatic hub. Not to bad for a NEW part, not used like i was going to do. So with tax, it will cost roughly $78.65
