I just read all 43 pages yesterday. You need to get on the ball and get that truck finished man. I'm a slacker myself with my projects, but reading all this has got me inspired. when i get over this cold i'll be out in my shop workin on my trucks every chance i get. keep up the good work man.
im gonna run hard lines to the center of crossmember under engine, the flex lines down to the axle then hard lines to before knuckle the flex to the calipers
same for the rear except only one flex line dropping down.
i also need to find the little weld on tabs i can use to hold the line in place that hooks to the connections if anyone knows what im talking about
If you make up something like a late 70's deal, they use a single in the front and a single to the rear with t-taps to the wheels. As for the size, what are you using for the hard line? They should be able to match what you need. Just talk with them and tell them what you are doing. A good stainless braided hose would serve your needs well.
so i should just tee the existing hardline into one flex line going down for the front?
why did they stop doing this?
no clue on size.....i know nothign about brakes, running the stock M.S.
Yeah, when they switched to TTB on the 1/2 tons, the changed from a single flext line from the frame to the axle to 2 flex lines from the coil buckets to the knuckle. Don't know why, it seems more in the way to me. So when I did my SAS on my 95, I went the old style way. Since you need the rediculously long line, not sure what would be best for your application.
what is somthing i could use to hold all the **** going down to my axle together (brake lines, hydro lines, axle vents, speed sensor wire, etc) and kinda protect it w/o trapping mud in at the same time?
