well i made a list of chit still to do on my truck......

there is prob. more......i made it at 7am......

Cut and make ¼” plate for knuckle support, drill to 1” hole, weld on.
finish t-case mounts
measure for tie-rod, Cut DOM and weld in tubing inserts, install Tie-Rod
Buy Coilovers and install, weld in top mounts, may need to trim bottom hole out
Measure for draglink, Cut DOM and weld in tubing inserts, install draglink
Design brackets (upper and lower) for panhard at the same angle as the draglink, and have them cut out.
Install brackets and weld in. Measure for panhard, Cut DOM and weld in tubing inserts, install panhard.
assemble front axle
Fix gas line??????? no clue how i'll do that
Support the weight of the rear of the truck from the frame.
Remove all rear suspension
clean and paint frame, sub-frame, links, etc
install rear axle
buy shackles
install rear hangers, shackles and leaf springs (hopefully it will be big enough)
Design front hangers and have them cut out, weld hanger together….
get desired shackle angle before drilling holes in frame to mount hangers
Measure for drive shafts and get them made, install drive shafts
Measure for brake lines, get lines made, install brake lines.
Get and install bumper back from friend

If there is time before mudfest (doubtful)

Buy 1.75”x9” ram from psc (have email of price)
Buy hydraulic lines and fittings.
Remove old steering box and install new hydro assist one, swap pitman arm over.
make mounts on axle and draglink for hydro ram, install ram and hydro lines.
purge lines with PS fluid
Test drive truck, get all quirks out.

questions:

how do i measure for my draglink? do i have the wheel turned at full lock and the steering on its steering stops, or do i have the pitman arm and the knuckle straight as possible then measure?

Do i have to have the coilovers charged before i install them for mockup?

Answer, you need to have the coilovers in the truck and the truck sitting on the suspension as it will be, meaning you need to get your track bar in and the axle centered 1st! After that, then with the pitman arm in the centered in the middle of the arc (your steering wheel should be straight), and the wheels straight forward with the tie rod in place (measured and built like we already talked about), then you can measure the distance from the pitman arm center to the passenger knuckle center. I threaded 1 end of the tube and put the rod end in, then held it in place to get the total lentgh that the tube needs to be after you subtract for the other rod end. Just don't forget to leave a couple of turns out on the rod ends in case you need to adjust it later.

Not too sure if you really want to do that. If you finish weld your draglink, and then do your panhard bar later, if the axle isn't exactly centered with the weight of the truck on the suspension and axles, your draglink could be off by a bit, and you may need to shorten or lengthen it depending on how it finally sits on the suspension. As a temporary to get an angle, tack the tube from the knuckle to the draglink to give the angle for the panhard, then finish that 1st, then go back and make the draklink second (actually 3rd as the tie rod needs to be done before the draglink).

huh?.......my truck will be under the full weight of my coilovers when i measure for my draglink.......the axle is already centered up under the truck as it sits right now....nothing will move......the draglink and the panhard will be measured at ride height.......

but it is always good advice just to tack it up first.......but i really need to get the finished (at least tacked ) drag link in to copy the angle and have the exact same length (just as important as angle) panhard.......
