and that orange hose has nothing to do with loss of boost pressure
that was what caused me to hit only 12psi of boost (a 5 psi drop from what it WAS at with stock injectors) then when i changed it everything went back to normal and i was hittin about 25-28 psi without a chip and stage 2s (i don't remember anymore, SOO long ago!) and now i'm hitting lik 35-37 with a chip
been over the whole system, all is in the green, map made no difference, i'm goin with nature of the beast, that could work out good for me since it runs so good with low boost numbers

i'm not really worried about it, it just makes me wish i could say i had more boost. i am happy with the performance and towing capabilities of the truck, it has no issues and is very reliable. it just runs low boost for the power it makes
you can see the speedo moveing in my video of the 14.7 with a chip, thats on a slight upgrade turning 35's, she moves pretty dam good i think

Look at it this way. Boost is a measure of restriction. High boost numbers doesn't always equate to power, it is how much air you can really flow. If you are flowing lots of air, efficiently you won't neccesarily have high boost. A small turbo needs to make high boost, to flow the same amount of air a larger turbo would, for example.
yup, good description, pressure is not nearly as important as volume, the same thing applies in engine oil pumps too, i have a bone stock turblow and expected more though
hello Fellers, my truck will hit 15 lbs in 4th running it WFO (wide ****ing open) I was run the EZ box from edge on the 90hp no air filter and I do have a 3" down pipe and 4" exhaust. dose thet sound right or not.
Joe- no one has brought this up but have you checked your tube for the boost gauge for any kinks? My '97 5-spd with only a 6637 and full exhaust will hit 22psi wot then drop immediately when i shift to about 15 then start climbing again
farm, thats what puzzles me, you have identical numbers as i do, yet you have a "stock engine" i have a chip, more fuel, more oil and no more boost.
97 powerstroke, your numbers are identical to mine, my norm is 8 after shifts climbing with rpm to 16, if i really wind it up to the limiter it will hit 20
cowboy, no kinks
