normal driving my gauge never moves, up steep hills it never moves while in od around 1500-2000, maybe barely unless i drop to 3rd then it goes up some. 5 pounds or so untill i go wot
anything below half throttle i never go above 1 psi, but i can easily get it to 10-15 at 3/4 throttle in any of the tunes
oh well, i guess i just expect more from it, there is no lack of power at any rpm so i guess this is just the nature of my beast
yeah they're real civilized until you open em up and BWAPPPAPAPAPAP haha man i love that sound, it didn't used to sound like this type of animal with stock injectors
coon, I wonder if your boost at shifts is just a function of the programming, reducing torque through the shift, and slowly brining it back up? Since you have the home brew electronics, vs programming it might be something they modify.
I'd be interested to see what the boost with the stock settings are on my friends 97 after we put an intercooler on. It will be some time for that, b/c he is getting mine and i'm putting in a 6.0. Just don't have time for it right now.
I know stock it was a solid 15 lbs, with the air intake and dp, stock it was a little over that maybe 17. So with a 10k and an intercooler getting cooler denser air it may be just right on your setup.
I know at 75 to 80 mph flat to mod up hill stock didn't pull any boost, with a chip it pulled 5 psi or more sometimes.
WHOOPS! I just noticed you have a superchip, missed it on the first read of your mods. Anyway...
Mine hits 25 at the shift points and then drops back to 15-18 and climbs back up. I lost about 5 lbs of boost with the intercooler. What I was surprised to see recently was that it was only hitting 12-13 lbs when I went back to the stock tune, with the IC. Reprogramed it and it was back to 25. This is not towing, just full throttle acceleration.
12 to 13 is my stock boost with the cooler as well, but with the superchip and a 14.7k resistor the max i can get is 20 and thats holding it to the limiter, if i let it go it goes from 10 after a shift then slwoly to 16 just before the shift

oh i know the injectors will make crazy power and boost but i am concerned with the other guys on here with stock injectors running 25-28 psi and i struggle with 16, and glasseater, no upipe prob's no boost leaks, no lack of power, and that orange hose has nothing to do with loss of boost pressure
and that orange hose has nothing to do with loss of boost pressure
sure it could. one of the problems with the orange boost is that it collapses sometimes. This would restrict ariflow and boost. Doesn't happen to them all but it could. Joe for what its worth I think you should be seeing higher boost numbers than you are too. Even with the superchip I think you should be atleast 20 psi. but all trucks are different. Program it to stock and see what your at. I lost 3-5 psi with the IC. I also don't drop any boost at shifts and cruise with about 3-5 psi on level ground empty but I also have the 1.0 housing.
Joe have your tried unplugging the MAP sensor and running the truck? if not try it and see if there is any improvement. Other than that if there are no boost leaks, exhaust leaks I guess it is just the nature of the beast.
