Blown Motor??????

I ran the check book hot rod on the dyno today to get a print out for Luke and I think I sqweaked a piston or f'd up a ring. There's a terrible knock comin from the left bank. EGT's are normal, boost is about 6lbs shy of its norm, did I loose a piston?

I think the only way to find out would be to do a compression test. It could also be something like a bent pushrod too.

Your lukes younger twin it sounds. He bent a pushrod (and messed up a couple other things) but was able to drive it a few hundred miles home.

So much for keepin it under 450hp on a stock motor uh lol

is it popping from the intake or exhaust, that would be a good indication of a bent pushrod. Any abnormal smoke? First thing id do is pull the vc's and check the rocker arms and pushrods. Second would be a compression test.

Did you pull the cover? Dave broke a rocker arm a cuple of weeks ago......sounded very similar to your description. Pushrods and rocker arms are an easy fix.
