Assuming everything is in good shape what should I get with a 97 5 speed with intake exhaust and dp tuner. I make 15 stock and about the same with the dp in 100 race, thats checked with 2 seperate gauges, Iknow the dp is working because I get to 15 alot faster. I also pulled a turbo circuit perf code which I believe is related to the map, is there a way to test the map?
as would i dude, but i am in a similar boat as you, see all my mods listed in the signature yet i avg 10-12 lbs through out the rpm range in all gears, drops to 8 at shifts then climbs back up. just before each shift it will hit 15 or 16. i can hit 20 if i hold it manually in 3rd and pretty much hit the rev limiter, but i'm pretty sure the rest of the guys dont have to do that. how does everybody else's trucks build boost from a dead stop?
so when your rpm hits 2900 you have 22 psi? what does the boost look like imediatly after a shift? does it drop as mine does then slowly climb back to 22 lbs or doe sit hold the boost levels?
If it shifts it drops back to 15 or a little above, i can fether on and off the pedal at that 2900 rpm and it will bounce back and fourth 18-22psi.I do have 22psi at 2900 then it shifts.
hmm, well you are still 5 psi more than mine at shifts but you also have the 1.0 housing and i have an intercooler so i suppose that makes it about even, my max boost is at 3400 and it barely hits the magic 20 mark before a shift then drops right to 10, 8 if i let it shift and 16 before shifts
i'm sure the egt's are lower but i dont know how much(no gauges), i figured on a 3-4 psi drop from the cooler goiong in but i still expected more boost then what i have
i hit above 35 right now, it hits 32 instantly then takes about .5 seconds to go all the way to 35-37, i don't need to build boost from a dead stop, i just gun it from idle and it shoots up...
that's in my 2nd highest tune...
oh and i found out that i make about 5-6 psi at a steady 65 mph up a small incline...
that's my "daily driving" tune
normal driving my gauge never moves, up steep hills it never moves while in od around 1500-2000, maybe barely unless i drop to 3rd then it goes up some. 5 pounds or so untill i go wot
