dp install

Need any advice, help, or tricks to getting a dp in. How can I bend the firewall? Can seem to get anything in there. Thanks.

I used the handle from my floor jack and a block of wood, like a small piece of 2x4, i have heard of people using baseball bats as well

Porta power... its the only way to go. Pick one up at Harbor freight for around $100.

I also used a large bar and a piece of wood...

But Portapower's make it super easy...

Ditto on large bar and block of wood on '95. '96 and friends '97, the 3" fit like a glove with no dimple.

Thanks fellas. Finally got it in after afew extra snips with the sawzall haha. Was calling everyone I knew for a porta power though.

i just loosed the two body mounts on the passenger side of the cab and the one on the same side on the core support, hooked up a cherry picker to the cab and lifted it up about 2 inches or so. went in no problems
