No problem at all! I think they must have changed material, cause the old o-rings were CRAP whereas the new ones I bought are made out of the same material that the oil galley plugs have. I think these will last a while at least until I have to clean the CCV again.
Really! the new o-rings are nice and tough! thats good to hear. I know the last time I bought some was about 2 years ago. Glad to hear they finally figured it out!
Cool thanks for the foresight. When you do this don't you need a check valve or one way valve?
Well a number of guys haven't used the check valve but I think I will be using one. I just want to make sure I am not doing bad things with the pressures!
I took my hose all the way to the back, 20 ft to the rear bumper, just inside the passenger side frame. It vents nicely right out the back of the truck!
The breather works kick-***. I just drove my truck around town and checked it while it was running and there is a nice little flow coming out the breather filter. When I stop the motor there is a little bit of exhaust that comes out of the breather but not too much.
If I was able to post pics on here I would show you the finished product. It really is a very nice fit to the end of the 5/8 hose.
Its only about 2 1/2 inches long, and about 2 inches wide. If you take out that plug flange with the hose clamp on it, your 5/8 heater hose will bury all the way into the opening with a nice snug fit.
