I noticed today that the hub for my e-brake on my brownie gear box is cracked. Is there anyway to replace it? Also the e-brake pad is gone is that replaceable? thank you
The brake band can be re-lined. There probably is a brake shop in your area that can remove the old lining and install new.
Edit: Can you post a close up of the split area on the brake drum? That looks really clean to be a crack. It may be either from manufacturing when new or an old repair.
That may be the same brake drum as the 4 speed in your originally had. I have several for the 4 speed. If you pull that one off the transmission, we can compare measurements to see if they are the same.

I believe you can get the lining from McMaster-Carr. Measure the diameter, width and the depth from the back to the transmission mounting surface. I can compare that with a 4-speed drum.
90W gear oil. The multi viscosity 85-140W oils would be fine. I don't think that there are any yellow metals in either transmission, but to be safe, use an oil with a MT-1 rating along with the GL-4 or GL-5 rating. Some GL-5 oils do not have the MT-1 rating for manual transmissions.
Hello,Today I got the final piece of my aux, install in the mail.I got a speedo correction gear box from Texas Industrial Electric.I highly recommend them fast, friendly, very good to work with.My speedo was 15mph slow and only registered 3.7 miles on the od driving 5 miles on the interstate.
I'll be installing it when the weather gets better and I change the in and output seals.

Hey quick question that has been floating around in my head.
If I have a synchronized transmission in front of the brownie or some other non synchronized auxiliary transmission, Do I need to double clutch when shifting the syncro'd tranny too? I.E. I am in say 2nd gear in the brownie and in 3rd gear in the primary tranny and want to shift to 4th, do I need to shift both back to neutral, the brownie back to 2nd and the primary into 4th. Or would operation be the same as driving a regular syncro tranny and I wouldn't worry about double clutching until I changed gears in the brownie.
you would only have to double clutch when shifting the browny. When you shift the syncro trans the brownie stayes in gear so no need to double clutch it then
