Seems like some of the threads get 'Off Topic', so I tought it would be a good idea to create a space for general 'Chatter'.
I will start out by asking what everyone thinks about the winter weather?
Seemed like last week wanted to become springtime, then today we had snow as I was driving into Port Angeles. The groundhogs seemed to to have different forcasts earlier this month, and I guess I can see why.
It was sleet over here, at 50F degrees!, off and on for about an hour. I threw it at the dogs. Melted an hour later.
Seems like threads get off topic? Where's a thread here long enough to go off topic far enough that matters?
Was heading out this morning to clear more brush, but found a good book instead.
We are starting to get more member posts. If I remember correctly, the chapter at present is reasonably new. My solution to keeping in touch was to run a phone line to my garage, and have my laptop hooked up, so I could check out the site during my smoke breaks.
Sure would like to know that guy's name from NOA who said the Northwest would
get a warmer than normal year, man was he wrong.
Another Weather Guesser bites the dust. Like last year they predicted another terrible hurricane season for the Gulf and eastern seaboard. How many hurricanes hit? Zero.

The reason we don't get accurate forcasts is because all the accurate forcastors live in Hawaii. I lived there for eight years, and they were almost never wrong.
Highs Mid to upper 80's, Lows Upper 60's, and a chance of a showers durng the morning and evening hours.
I can remember a record winter low one time...I think we got down to 65. The only thing I could do was turn on the car heater for my drive to work.
LOL, yea sunny and warm in Hawaii, wet in Washington are safe forecasts.

Yea? Maybe our paths almost crossed there...I was at the Pearl submarine base in '93-96 and '86-89. Lived in west Honowuwu. Great duty, great weather, good diving and snorkelling.

Since the WX is running from bad to worst. Thought I would give you all some entertainment. It's called J R's Turbo Install, I installed a Banks system on Mr.Truck back in 07/05, with the help of my 15 year old daughter, wife, dog & cat.....So get some popcorn and a beverage of your choice.

Our paths did almost cross. '84 was the year Uncle Sam decided I would like the rain at Fort Lewis much more than the beaches in Hawaii... I will have to disagree with the Army statement that 'Uncle Sam is aways right'.
Is it possible to have our chapter membership show up to everyone like it does for our join date, location and number of posts does?
We would be able to display our membership proudly when in the other forums and other users from Washington who are not members could notice us and maybe join!
