Well... he didn't come right back. I sure hope this means he found his family and they are having a good heart-to-heart.
There's a saying that goes ~ You don't know what you have until it's gone ~ Arctic, I hope your woman realizes what she has in you before it is too late!
Lizz She's got a piece of crap In me and we both know it. Her and I. And yes we had a good visit for an hour or so. Left on good terms. Hay somebody what to catch this Bunny for me? I can't rep Her in this thread either.
Thanks Tricky
You saying what I think John. You all don't what to even put up with my crippled sorry azz. But I would like ta spend a day or so with ya. I can prolly be civil for that long. A few more Natural Ice and I may try and swim down. HAAA I suppose I should nuke a hot dog or something. Prolly sleep better, eh?
Dial up isn't so bad, Arctic! That's all I have and I'm grateful! It helps me keep my patience in check! Ha! Ha!
Ya got that right Liz...I have been dealing with dial-up since I moved up here...Was a culture shock at first, but I have adjusted. Was supposed to have high speed last week, but they determined that their line was not suffieint and have to bury a new one...What the heck, I guess I can wait another week or two.
What's going on Arctic? I came in on the tail end of things. I put the pieces together from posts. Why don't you email me? Maybe you would like to come out here for a visit before you truck on to... Eugene? Family is the best place to be in that situation, but your welcome for a stay here too.
Placermike- Dialup? DIALUP?!?!?!?
I had to check for a minute to make sure my body wasn't covered in fur and my ride to stonehenge for a weekend sabertooth barbecue wasn't a woolly mammoth!

not everyone is as lucky as you john, but from the last time I talked to you, I think a wooly mamoth would be a quicker trip than with your pickup...at least its not a chevy though
Arcitc, sorry to hear about your troubles, it's always nice to be able to go home, and I can't imagine what that would be like for me if it was taken away. Definetly stop on by with your way through if you pass through Sisters, Oregon, or if you're in Burns, Oregon anytime in the next two weeks look me up, I'll be there on the Egley Complex Fire.

Thanks Nick. If you are anywhere near as caring as yer mom than I would like to meet ya. I used to fight forest fires back not to long before Saint Helens blew. It's funny kinda. We spent weeks putting out 80k acers or so of Wearhouser timber just to see it all go up a couple years later. Along with Spirit lake. My Little girl (24) and her family will be here tomarrow to kick my butt and make me suck it up. And help me get my stuff in order. So I'm good for a while. Got to buck up while she is around cuz she still thinks her Dad is a tough old logger that can fix anything.
Here I go babbling again to any that will listen. But there ain't nobody to talk to here.
Tricky
Arctic, you ain't babbling! And that's what friends are for ~ listening! We are all here for you, so babble away! Sometimes it's easier to tell other people things that you would never tell your family, but really need to get off your chest.
If you make it through Portland, Oregon I would love to meet up and buy you a beer!
Nick was picking on John about his broke down truck Bunny. I think that is what he is saying. And thanks as you are right again. I have been sending out e mails and poring my guts out. And It helps me to see the whole picture better. Especially from my wifes side.
I just sent John an e mail that prolly sent em into the bottle again, never to be heard from. Sorry John but ya asked bud and Like I said I got no one to talk to but ya all. The phone don't even ring. But than I'm deaf so how would I know. HAAA
My little girl (24) and her family will be here sometime tomorrow to help me out Bunny.
And I am looking forward to It. It's way to silent around here by my self and anyone to make some noise I can hear would be awesome. And believe me her two little ones can sure do that. But than so do mine. Damn I miss em. I'm not gonna take my night meds and see if I can stay up till midnight or so when she comes home with them. I just what to hug them and tuck em in while I still can. I asked them this morning if they would like to stay with me and do something but they choses not to. I'm sure that they just figured that staying with me would not be as much fun as playing with there friends where they have been spending the day.
I am back (To normal?), for a bit...Been busy as all get out, and too worn out to spend much time relaxing. I should have a week with a normal schedule, and looking forward to spending time with my friends.
