chuckle......whats a duramax? I thought we were discussing real trucks. Hey, a friend and I bought 97 ford F150s in the beginning of 96 when they came out a year early like the 08 superduties. Well, we both still have those trucks and love them. He since bought one of them there Gm things, and everytime I see him he complains about it. When he got it, I kinda liked the looks of it and the plush interior but its history. He is selling it, keeping the old 97, and going to buy a new 08 SD.
Wow, nice setup. SIP's, gotta check that out. ARe they cheap or expensive?
They were 10-15% more expensive than stick framing but save you FAR more than that in labor. The allowed wall loading is about twice that of stick and are MUCH better for shear. For many window and door openings, the panel itself acts as the header and simplifies installation. I used:
I know, its scary. I've been thinking hard for two months between na 06,07,08. I finally made up my mind that the upgrades for 08 with a reworked 6.0 morphing into a 6.4L wasn't worth the extra bucks in light of all the killer incentives offered by Ford on the 06's. Well then the 06's were gone! so I waited and soon the same deals and rebates became available on 07's and managed to find one properly equiped before they all went away. There are still plenty out there but the ones with all the goodies seem to evaporate fast when Ford announces the sweet rebates leaving red, black, in Lariets or xlt's to choose from.
