REGULAR Cab, SHORT Box?
I have been pondering this a while but keep forgetting to post. How many people out there would buy a SuperDuty truck with a regular cab and short box (6.5 feet)?
I would think there would be some kind of market for it. A big one that comes to mind is snow plowing businesses. That short wheelbase would be great for getting into tight areas.
So, your thoughts?

In a SD, I would not consider any cab version other than the SuperCab or CrewCab. In fact, the only Regular cab versions of a SuperDuty that I have seen around here are commercially owned ones used soley for work purposes. I guess there really isn't much of a market for 3/4 ton trucks in a regular cab for personal use. Not enough interior room probably even with either size bed.

rc swb is great for plow work and thats about it. a sc swb would do a lot better for the same work plus the ability to take alone 2 more people .if it was say towing a good sized boat, and gear
my personal for both uses was my sc,swb. with a psd or a v10. both do some graet work. beast it was great for both uses.

best place to find one is in an air port maintenance auction!! next time you're at the air port take a look around and i bet you might catch a glimps of one! i guess they are popular in austrailia or something like that! they do make them, amd most of them that you find around the US are imported!
there was a construction company selling off 4 that they had bought from an air port (when the bought new ones). they weren't very practical for construction work with the short bed (the owner said)! he sold those off for some reg cab LB dually's! i tried to get ahold of one or all of them, but he got a larger off from some company in TX! all of them were 4x4 w/ 7.3L's. they had lots and lots of hours, not alot of miles though! i though they'd make a good hunting/mild duty farm truck!

I don't think it'd be a good plow truck. Since the wheelbase would be so much shorter, that sucker's front end would sag immensely (especially if it were a diesel). You'd need some good ballast in the bed. I don't think the reg cabs have anywhere near enough room anyway.
All depends on what you want to use it for. I like it a lot because of the short turning radius. Makes a crewcab feel like an ocean liner by comparison. Best thing ever for off road. Less weight, better milage.
