Going to Lake Cumberland in Kentucky 7/17-21. Never been there before so don't know what to expect. When it comes to camping, I am just the driver. Wife makes all the reservations. lol
Going to frontier town 7/19-7/26. That is the best place around. They are booked up 18 months in advance. Unless you get Lucky and call when they have a cancellation like i did.
Barry,
Have you tried the campground on rt 50, Fort Whaley same owners as Frontier Town, stay there and I think that you can use the water park and things at Frontier Town.
Just got back from Killen's Pond and was cleaning up the trailer when it started to rain. The wife yelled and me and said we had a leak in the bathroom. The little dome that your head goes in when you are in the shower was leaking on one corner. After the rain stopped, I climbed up on the on the roof. All 4 corners of the upper bubble has a crack in them. Put a little silicone on the cracks. Hopefully that will take care of the leak until I can get it replaced. Leaving for Kentucky on the 17th of July so hopefully the silicone will take care of the leak temporarily.
Just got back from Lake Cumberland State Park in Kentucky. Weather was nice. Spent a nice day on the lake with a pontoon boat and a couple of wave runners.
The trip itself was long. Four trucks and trailers, mine being the only Ford. On the way down one of the trailers burned a wheel bearing on I70 outside of I68. Stopped overnight earlier than planned. Got bearing fixed next morning and cruised on down.
On the way home lost a transmission cooler line on one of the trucks. Lost about 4 hr. Temporalialy fixed it. Broke again a couple hours later. This happened outside of Port Royal Virginia. 2 trucks stayed in a parking lot overnight for repairs on Tuesday. Fun fun fun. Just glad it wasn't my truck or trailer.
All total, 4 diesel trucks a little over 1400 miles was about $3500 in fuel.
