Yes spring is almost on us! After this week the temp looks better. Paid my lot rent. Started up my golf cart today. Not long now. The first BBQ of the year, warm sun, Fishing and just having a good time.
I have a seasonal site. My wife and I have it set up like a second home. When we get there you just turn on the lights and air and you are done. No unhooking and hooking up. Due to the price of diesel fuel I will have to go this way. I miss pulling but the lot rent is much cheaper than pulling. Hope things get better in the next few years and back to pulling our rig down the road. We miss that very much.
It depends if someone crashes on I-95! Most of the time 3 1/2 to 4 hrs. I have to stop for coffee. We like the drive through Delaware and Maryland on Rt. 13. Better roads, better trucks and better drivers as soon as you get out of Pa.
I would like to camp with everyone but my camper is on a seasonal site at Toms Cove in Chincoteague. If anyone camps stop by O-67. If diesel fuel ever goes under $3.00 per gal I will start pulling again.
I don't know in the 70'S when the oil embargo took place everyone went out and purchased 4 and 6 cylinder cars and trucks. I kept my old 351 and gas was not bad. Hope the next President will do something!
Camping season is soon to start here in BC as well. We have just purchased a 98 26' Tahoe Thor with the big slide to replace our well used 87 24 1/2' 5th wheel. Can't wait to pick it up and start with the camping.
