Some just spray the awning down good with the stuff, roll it up for 5 mins. or so then open it up and hose it off. I used the scrubbing method. I sprayed some on then used the brush I use to was it with and gave it a good scrubbing. Sprayed on some more with some more scrubbing then hosed the whole thing off well.
Mine was pretty nasty looking. Most are probably not that bad.
Just got back from 2 1/2 months of travel in our 5th wheel. We went to Tuscon, Phoenix and Flagstaff Arizona. Got to Monument Valley and it is quite a sight to see. Had to dodge the severe weather on the way home, detoured from Rt. 40 down to Rt. 20 and still had severe rain storms. Just missed the storm that hit the Dallas dome that collapsed, we passed thru the area a few hours earlier. We had a breakdown with the diesel, pulled into a Flying J in Miss. and it wouldn't start again. Got towed to Ford dealer and fixed something in the oil system. 3 days later we were back on the road to home. Had a great time on the road but it's even better being back home again.
The funny part is the truck started making this metallic rattling sound that started back in Feb on the way to Florida. We stopped in Lumberton, NC to have a dealer look at it. We got to Florida and had a dealer there check it out and a week later they didn't have an answer to the noisy motor. It was about 8000 miles later that the part gave out and it finally got fixed. But the great thing is where we broke down was a Ford Fleet dealer who worked on trucks a lot, and they were able to get us going again fairly quickly. The bad part was they had lots of work and many Ford pickups in the service area.
Chris you did a good job on the awning. My is bad but not quite that bad. I can't seem to keep the grime off. It even has an odor. Every trip I at least hose the awning down.
Help! went to check on camper, left door open while cleaning out and our friendly little feline decided that he wanted to go camping I guess, hid in the trailer, we did not know it, he was in a day or so and tried to get out, he tore up all the window blinds tring to get out the windows, 7 blinds in all.
Any one know of a place for reasonably priced replacement blinds?
