Wanted to post these here for you guys as I don't think other than Bud and myself that have campers.
Here's what Dave does for a living.
These are pictures of what happens when you don't do what the manufacturer tells you to check your roof seams.
I purchased a Holiday Rambler new that was worse trailer I have ever owned. From day one we had problems. Every weekend something else happened. I traded it in on a Springdale by Keystone and it has been the best trailer we have ever owned. That Holiday leaks for two years and one day I looked at where the roof meets the sides there was a plastic strip over all of the screws. About 6 were loose and that did it.By the time I found it I had to replace ,wall and floor. The cheap Springdale has never had a problem or leak.
Your welcome Doug,
Almost have it back together. Replaced the plywood glued the rubber back down. One more piece of trim and I'll be rolling on rubber membrane then she's done.
Nope after it is back together we have a rubber roof kit that you roll on with a paint roller. Had pretty good results with it, but for 500 bucks for 4 gallons and a qt. of catalyst it better be.
Well I got my camper out today, blew the pollen off of it and took it home. Wifey wants to go to wading pines campground in NJ for mother's day weekend.
I got my folding bed cover on and am trying to finish up putting in the 55 gallon bed tank for the truck. It will be nice to tow the camper and not have to worry about hitting the diesel station every few hours.
But we are not planning too many far trips this year, my wife is due September 1 (#3). So all we have planned is a few short trips and maybe Lake George. But I would love to get to Myrtle Beach again, that place was Great!
I was at a deck party awhile back, and the mosquitoes were having
a ball biting everyone. A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor
with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared.
The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray bottle and used it around
my chair whenever I saw mosquitoes. And voila! That worked as well. It
worked at a picnic where we sprayed the area around the food
table, the children's swing area, and the standing water nearby.
I tried this on my deck and around all of my doors. It works! In
fact, it killed them instantly. I bought my bottle from Target and
it cost me $1.89. It really doesn't take much, and it is a big
bottle, too; so it is not as expensive to use as the can of spray you buy
that doesn't last 30 minutes.
So, try this, please. It will last a couple of days. Don't spray directly on
a wood door (like your front door), but spray around the frame.
Spray around the window frames, and even inside the dog house.
During the summer, I don't leave home without it.....
Pass it on.....all your friends will appreciate the information
