Hello fellow campers. Just thought I would share a couple pics of the 5th wheel we picked up this spring. It's a 98 listed as 30' but without bumper and pin it's about 28'. We paid $8500. Don't know about your areas but here it's a screaming deal. We updated from an 87 24.5' with no slide.

Nothing that has caught my attention. I have never pulled with a dually so I don't really have anything to compare it to. The prevous owner put more spring in the back end. I have a total of 7 leafs including the overload. My 5th wheel weighs just over 7300 lbs and the hitch about 1300.
I just wish I had a little more under the hood. I pulls pretty good but that little 5.4 gets to working pretty hard sometimes.

So I opened up our camper on tuesday, everything checked out ok from the long winters nap. lol. Got it washed and cleaned up. Just need to pack it up for next weekends trip. Gas tanks are full from the last trip. This will be our first trip of the year. How about you guys? been camping yet?

Wish I could Barry. I have training starting on monday for three days. Then the week after that the day shift has training. I will find a way to break the new tent in before August and the atns.

Well tomorrow I going to look at a truck. We took a 2822 kilometer trip. (I think that's something just over 1700 miles) My little 5.4 was working pretty hard at some points along the trip. Looking to get a F350 with a diesel. While that 5.4 may not be the most powerful engine in the world it is one strong engine.
