6 disc changer problems

I just bought a 2001 f250 extended cab lariat diesel, i have a 6 disc cd changer and when i try to load a cd it says full, so i tried to eject some cds and it says cd error. I know there arent any discs in there because i just bouhg it from a dealership. Does anybody know something i can do about this or what the problem is. Thanks in advance

Did you buy it woth ANY kind of warranty? If you did let it be THEIR problem...not yours?

i have an 03 f350 lariat, same radio , same problem . I have tried everything , nothing works . any help would be great.......

no its not under warranty.

Remove radio...take or send it to repair shop...or better yet replace it with another radio.

03 F350 LAriat with the same problem as well. I have tried numerous times to get it out...won't let go. I bought several different sets of the DIN tools that insert into four holes on face of unit and all locks release except for the lower right. I've just gotten used to the radio or better yet the purr of my straight piped engine. Didn't try a crow bar or sledge hammer yet but that may be next. Car stereo shop even gave it a try and couldn't get it loose. Will probably destroy getting it out so won't try again until I am ready to replace

Amazing- I just bought a 2004 F250 and it's got the same exact problem. Luckily mine is under warranty and I'm waiting for the new one to come in. When I was at the dealer having it looked at, the service manager walked in from the shop and said "that things got problems- we'll be getting you a replacement". I didn't ask for more specific info as to the problem, I'm just hoping this isn't an epidemic with the factory 6-disc! Good luck!

if you JUST bought this from a dealership i would hope they would do something for you.if not i wouldn't buy anything from them ever again and would let them know this.
