It has hubcaps on it,, but the spare is an 8 lug,,,,? I didn't pop one to verify if they are 5 or 8 lug,, but it is a Dana axle,,, so I am guessing a 60,,,

That is interesting that the spare tire on a half ton truck has an 8 lug bolt pattern. Also interesting that it says F-150 on the sides.

Ok,, should be driving it home tomorrow,,,, then I will post all the info,, pics too if I get a chance,,, I am also goin to pop a hubcap,,,and see if I see 5 or 8
The history I have,, his granpa bought it,, drove it for years delivering olives or something to LA I think he said,, his dad had it, then he got it,,, he is now newly married, and has no room for it,, or the mech. ability to keep it (my own assumption) needs some lovin to bring it to daily driver state,, but hey,, as I tell my wife, that is my "gardening/golfing/hobby of sort"

That is the anomoly of the F130. It is a 1/2 ton truck with 8 lug wheels. Which makes more of a heavy half ton, yet Ford referred to it as the F130 and there is no documentation of the fact.

Most of the F130's have been green... what color is this newly aquired one?

It's just pure speculation, but I wonder if the San Jose plant ran short of half ton axles at one point, and stuffed 3/4 ton ones under them to keep production rolling?

Does Marty have any production numbers on these trucks?

Ok,, drove her the hour home,,, no glitches till the driveway,,, battery ground was loose,, died,, all is well. Pulled in the garage and started the tune up,,, cap/rotor/plugs/wires,, ALL were crappy!! New Air filter in the morning. And YEP,, has 8 lugs, A/C, dual tanks. New front shocks will go on in the morning also,, get past 60,,,she starts to dance!! Oh yeah,,, she is Baby/Powder Blue,,, the cab was a darker blue,, was painted over white.
My guess is the F130 had something to do with emissions, some wanted a heavier truck/GVWR but cheaper tags? I remember chevy having a "heavy half" they called it,,, maybe this was an experiment,, see how many sold?

Also,, the granpa bought all the manuals for it,, so I got those along with the truck!

Ok,, here is the Tag info

VIN: F13BRC79516
WB: 133
Color: PI
Type: F130
Body: DB4
Trans: C
Axle: 38 J

GVWR 06150

1976

DSO 72

On the other side of the door jamb,, the plastic one has same info,, then has FO186/R1326

The F150 was Ford's answer to getting around emissions on 1/2 ton trucks. The F150 was originally called a "heavy half"...

This particular truck had the two toned paiint scheme? Interesting...

So far, each F130 vin plate info I have seen has been San Jose assembly plant and San Jose DSO.

Scratch that... Just noticed I have written down for Omaha Nebraska DSO (54)

I currently believe this was a one off trial run of trucks that pre-date the Mexican F200

I almost want to pitch in some funds so you'll get a MartiReport and possibly shed some light on the elusive F130

On the B pillar, the Safety Standards Certification Label has some of same info...then has FO186/R1326 = FoMoCo usage only, cannot be decoded.
F13 = ?

B = 300 1V I-6

R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant.

C79516 = 1976.

133" Wheelbase.

PI: P = Light Blue / I = Light Medium Blue.

F130 = ?

DB4: DB = Blue all Vinyl // 4 = Styleside Pickup.

C = Ford type 3.03 3 Speed Manual all Syncromesh Transmission.

38J: 38 = Dana 60 Rear Axle / 3.73-1 / non Limited Slip / 5,300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity // J = Power Steering.

6,150 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

1976.

72 = San Jose (NorCal) Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

1976: The Certification Label lists the Production Date, O/A GVWR, Front/Rear GVWR's, VIN and that's about it.

martiauto.com has all the original 1967/79 FoMoCo records. Suggest you order a Marti Report for this truck, ask Marti what the he!! an F130 is.
