There is a heck of a lot wrong with the information in that webpage.
I wouldn't trust it at all really.
Most notable things wrong, with the corrections below...
1: "(1976) This year, the Flareside body style returned after a three-year absence. It was available on 2WD and 4WD F-100 and F-150 trucks, but only on a standard cab body".
Correction: 8' Flaresides were avaliable 1973-1979 F-100/F-350. Only the 6' flaresides were discontinued in 1973. They were brought back for the 1977 year model.
2: "In 1974, The 300 cu.in. 6-cylinder engine returned after a two year absence."
Correction: 300 inline six engine was avaliable in 1973 and 1974, with it's smaller brother the 240 inline six. The 240-6 was standard on the F-100. The 300-6 was standard on the F-250 and F-350. For the 1975 model year the 240-6 was dropped and the 300-6 became standard F-100/F-350.
3: 1978: "A new 4-speed manual transmission became available on 2WD pickup trucks with the 4.9L 6-cylinder and the 5.0 and 5.8L V-8 engines"
Um ok, but which 4 speed is he talking about, or does he mean there were no 4-speeds on 2wd trucks untill 1978? If he means the former, which tranny? If he means the latter, that is absurd.
I understand that the article has flaws in it but it does make mention of a F-150 running on F-250 running gear built in 1976. Besides all of the other nonsence in the article it is a similarity to what is being talked about in this thread and it does have a name to given to the truck as well... I didn't put it up there as gospel, just as another route to look into.
GOD this is a great story!!! I just read every page hoping the next one says. Its some super rare truck!!!! Someone needs to find out more info im dying here!!

There is a well documented mexican F-200 that fits that description as well. It's possibly the same truck with different names. The Mexican F-200 ran from 1976 to well into the 1990's and was only avaliable in mexico. It's possible that there was an american version avaliable, in a short production run. This is what I believe the (code F-130) is, but this is only conjecture, using the only avaliable facts on hand. That the article you posted supports my therory. However with all the things wrong with that article, his information has to be taken with a grain of salt at best. He may be confusing the Mexican F-200. There is no records of a F-130, even numberdummy has tried to find out about it, and we have failed to find anything more than we have.
Marti bought all of Fords records, as Ford was going to throw them all away, so perhaps the owners of the (Code F-130) F-150's in question could find out more with a Marti report?
I have shown this thread to a friend of mine whos family owned a Ford dealership for quite some time in my area. He is going to do some looking into what the F13 could possibly stand for as well. This is VERY interesting.

Unless the dealership has old order forms from 74-77, only Marti is going to shed any light on the situation as there is absolutley no record of public knowledge of the "F130"
Well by the looks of this thread I have the 4th F-130, it has a Vin # of F130MKC32881. My grandfather had this truck I believe from new but I am not 100% sure about that since I was 6 in 1976. He worked at a lumberyard for over 50 years and they had bought it for him to drive. I have contacted Ford and they sent me back some information after about 6 weeks but it was not a lot of information. I wish I could attach the sheet but it will not let me so I will just briefly list the info. They say...1976 Ford F-150 Styleside Pick-up Special (4x2), 390 CID, built in Michigan, 133: wheelbase, Silver paint, Vinyl seat, Custom, Blue interior, 4-speed Manual - New Process, 3.07 Dana 61 #5300, 8.75x16.5 Tires, heavy duty brakes, body side molding, tinted glass & extra cooling radiator. I also have contacted Holley, because it has a Holley carb on it, they say the carb is factory for that truck with that motor, it is a 585 CFM. The truck is now red but my dad says it has always been red. I know that the tires are old and new ones are kind of had to find and cost a ton. I'm not sure how many miles it has on it, could be 144000 or 24400. The truck is beat up, lumberyard, but starts right up and runs pretty good, smokes some. I'm not sure this helps in the search or the F-130 but I thought that I would throw what I know into the mix. If you know anything else please post and if you have a question for me please let me know. I would really like to know more about this truck. I am contacting Ford again and passing this Forum to them so maybe they will go a little further to help me/us figure this out. By the way the Henry Ford Museum charges a pretty penny to look something up. I may go down that road if I can't get any information from Ford or this site.
1976 was the bicentenial year of our country. Perhaps? but still only speculation.
I would bet marti would have more info on it, as Ford gets the information from Marti, but the free information Ford gives is not near as elaborate as paying Marti yourself for a buildsheet.
