I have been looking for the info on that pull also I see the Power Pullers won't be there this year and in the past the had a poor turn out in the crowd so I wonder if they are even having it?
Red Oak used to have pulls several years ago but quit and then just started having them again last year so this is the second year. Last year they didn't have any stock pickups pull (but Malvern does and it is usually only 3 or 4). This pull is sanctioned by the TSPA and so their trucks will be there. You will like "Thumper" (4x4 mod with a glass SuperDuty body). They usually have a couple 4x4's and a couple of 2wd's to add to the mix but they are mainly a tractors group. It is kind of an odd setup down there and I don't know if I can explain it. But will try. If you were at a baseball field you would be sitting in the stands by home plate and going down the third base line. The track starts in the right field corner and cuts diagonally over to the left field corner. It is kind of like they are driving toward you. Does that make any sense? It is a pretty good pull.
Anyways. I think (& hope) we will be done and running. That said though, the truck may not be painted. It will have a JD yellow grill and wheels though. There is just not enough hours in the day for me. Still need to mount the box, finish the hitch, wire the kill switch, wire the reverse light, put in the fire extinguisher, finish mounting the fans and wire them, mount the fuel cell and run the lines and fuel pump, and bleed the brakes. Once that is done we can put it on a trailer and find a place to weigh it and build a weight rack if needed. Hope we make it and if you do come make sure you say hello if you see me (big fat guy with a JD hat. yeah I know there will probably be a bunch of those there).
Also I sent you an email through the site. Did you get it? If so respond and I will let you know a couple of things that you mentioned in another one of your posts.

Well last night we got the brakes bleed. They will probably need some more but at least we have some brakes now… Next we finished mounting our two electric fans. Then I changed the fluid in the Eaton 2 ton rear end. I was extremely surprised at how little fluid it took considering how big it is. <st1:city w:st="on"><st1>Bryan</st1></st1:city> has part of the hitch at work today to do some grinding on a big grinder and see if we can get it to fit. Tonight I will mount the fire extinguisher and start cleaning out the cab (it has been our storage area as we are in a shared shop).<st1:city w:st="on"><st1>Bryan</st1></st1:city> is going to hook up the fans to switches in the cab and then hook up the wiring in the front of the truck for the kill switch and reverse light. Tomorrow we will put the box on, put in the fuel cell and pump and run the lines, cut some rust out of the box side wheel wells, adjust tire pressure, finish hitch up, and once running take it to get a certified weight slip. I am so pumped to drive this truck and hopefully pull this weekend. See you guys in Red Oak (weather permitting).
Oh and it will be a brown, green, yellow/white two tone 79 Ford with yellow wheels if you are looking for us and we will be driving my white regular cab F350.

Well we made it (barely) but not without several bumps along the way. Long story short we made one hook and still have issues ended up with a whopping 105'. Click here for a better explaination of our whole day.
I did get to meet SilverHighBoy. It was nice to meet and talk to you. Hope you get your truck done soon.

Chris I bet you were you were ready to blow your top when you couldnt get hooked up right. I can here the choice words. Hey it was your first pull you have to say it was a victory for you. Theres a lways afirst time for everything. You pulled over 100ft. (One small step for Chris one giant leap to huh Things will geat easier here on out). Dont worry about the competitions engines. Its getting crazy out there. Always looking for more power. These pulls are getting more popular every year an the number off puller do to. Will definitly make it to Wahoo. I still say its the best truck pull anywhere bar none. I think those guys wrotethe book on it. Good Luck an keep us posted on your next pull. Hopefully silverhighboy has his truck ready an you both are pulling that would be sweet.
Well momma was so happy that I actually found a hobby and got done what I said I was going to do, she gave me a small allowance... Feels like I am a kid again.
We hope to make some changes and then hit Bedford on the 14th as a test for Malvern on the 23rd. Then if things are still together and we are doing a little better we will hit Scribner but we aren't sure about Wahoo. It is the next night and we are not sure if we want to do all that driving in back to back nights so we may just get a hotel or something and stay up there and hit both pulls. We got a lot of things to do before we have to worry about that. Kevin, Brian, and TJ's trucks ran pretty good it looked like. To bad you couldn't make it. I definately hope Silver gets his truck done. Then we will have somebody to talk to.
Sounds good. Ive been to Scribners truck pull several times. Its also a great pull. I might go to both if things work out. Or you never know an I might not. Either way reading this thread makers me feel like Im already there an your website. I got that in my index so I can refer to that an see whats going on. Good Luck
Silver and 150 PM or email me if you would like another website were the NPPA is discussed on occassion. TJ is over there and the guy with the 97 CrewCab dodge is too. We can still talk here just letting you know in case you are interested.
I know you are busy Silver but any progess on the mod? We are gonna order some new stuff today and see if it helps.
Just got in another late one but making some progress. Got the ladder bars mounted front weight bracket started and the hitch laid out to weld. Fuel cell should be here tomorrow along with all the lines so hopefully crossing my fingers I will get to here it run and give it a drive this weekend. After that I will start replacing the U Joints and the ball joints. I wanted to go with spicers solid non greaseable joints but ford had the great idea to put a u joint in that has two different measurements across and spicer doesn't make one like that so it's either start replaceing yokes on the driveshafts or stick with the stock joints. See ya around.
