That bites.
It's still hockey season though, right Dennis?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That's Correct although the actual season should have been over a month to 6 weeks ago.
I will be watching until the final buzzer/horn of the year.
Then head down to my local twin arenas and take in the hockey camp during the days the summer.
Will Canada ever see the cup? I thought a cup in Florida was bad....I thought wrong. The series is not over yet, but I can count Conklin's shinning moments on one finger. If I were MacTavish I'd put Jussi in net, because the oilers chances are much better with him tending net-or Mike Morrison....never mind, lol.
It was the Arrogant Oiler fans that caused this
It ain't over yet..
On paper, the Oiler's 'should' have been out after 4 games in the first round..
They 'should' have been through when the flu bug hit in the last series..
Although Coughlin did cough up the puck, he made a few very good saves.
Getting thrown into a hockey game cold in the 3rd period is tough on any goalie in any game. I cant imagine how tough it would be in the stanley cup finals.
If theres a team that can dig down and find the extra that it will take,the Oiler's are the ones.
What about the 'canes? The pressure on them just went up 100 notches or so!
Hmmm! now the Canes lead 3-1.
Do the Oilers have a chance?
They just need to win the next 3.
Can be done.
Look at the Red Socks.
It's looking bad now for the Oil... but it ain't over til the fat lady sings.
It just doesn't seem right that the cup could be going to a place where the average guy on the street doesn't even know that they use a PUCK in hockey.
and anyplace that calls it ICE hockey and has cheerleaders, doesn't even deserve a junior team, never mind an NHL franchise... Those are as inappropriate as calling it "Hardwood Basketball" and running a Zamboni over the gym.
Can't take anything away from the team, Carolina has done a good job. Their fans....pretty suspect IMO
http://www.gocheckers.com/. Be suspect all you want to but be educated first. I am 50 and used to go to the games in jr high school. We have had hockey for years and deserve the NHL. This is 2 times going for the cup in a short time. Dont be a sore loser. We deserve it AND are getting it!
I just keep thinking that most of the NHL is made up of Canadian players
There is a higher ratio of American & European players though.
Land o' goshen, I sure hope they don't get another one of their "cheerleaders" to sing the national anthems at the next game.
I bet you could find a Moose in Jasper who could fart the anthems more on-key than that last one.
and Instantgrits this is a list of just arenas in Edmonton alone
http://www.emha.ca/default.aspx?p=content&pid=14
Each one has at least 8 hockey teams playing out of it.
I think the man in the street in Edmonton knows they play hockey with a puck.
