I hate listening to the whining about bad calls, slow ice etc. Sabres were pretty much down to 4 defencemen for the 2'nd period on but it didn't seem to stop them.

Tonight should be a great game. Both teams are desparate and the Canes should come out flying on their home ice.

This should be a GREAT game. The sabres looked so sharp on Tuesday, especially during the first period. It was like Carolina was playing short handed for 20 minutes. It would have been 3-0 at the end of the first if Ward hadn't been nothing short of brilliant in goal.

This'll be a tough one - the canes want it pretty bad.

Not as bad as Buffalo though!

(no goal)

Wow! A little more than 2 hours to face off they report that Jay Mc'kee, Buffalo defenceman can't make the trip because he has a staph infection, probably due to blocking a shot a few weeks ago. This is serious and I hope he recovers. That leaves what, 2 starting defenceman for the Sabres? If the Canes can't win tonight on their home ice they don't deserve to even be there!

STOP WHINING, GO SABRES!

You're no Hockey fan then

The season is over until the last game has been played no matter who is in it

Let's hope Edmonton can do what Calgary could not 2 years ago! I think I can speak on behalf of most hockey fans in saying that a cup going to Raleigh would be most unfortunate. But I said the same thing about Tampa Bay and look what happened....GO OIL and bring the cup home!!!

In Raliegh they call it "ice hockey". Anyplace that calls it that does not know hockey. They have cheerleaders to make it seem more like the college basketball they live for.

Come on Dennis lighten up. We know it's still hockey season. For God sakes, man, the team we love just lost their last chance of the season for the cup.

And for US... hockey is officially over.

Well Folks : "Rollie The Goalie is Gone" until next year with a Major Knee Injury thanks to one of his defence men.

That should just about do it for the Oilers for this year
