spring/summer 2006 chapter meet.

I would like to start planning a meet of the whole chapter for sometime in the spring or summer. I think we should be able to get something put together in this time frame. Start giving me some ideas on a location that everyone thinks would work for them. If we get a few good ideas for location I'll start a poll. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Lets see what we can do with this.

Also if anyone is interested in doing a regional meet in their area feel free to set something up. I will try to attend, just depends on location and date.

In all reality, a fairly central location would be best, something like Columbia. I may be adding some distance on, will know more on that in the coming week hopefully, but it doesn't mean I can't or won't participate, but actually would mean I would have more ability to make it.

I also think a central location would be best.

Just want to follow the thread. Its to far away to think about at this point for me. My school schedule will not be finalized until the middle of January.

A central location would be best. I would also need some info and help from someone in the area to get things setup. Info on parks, restaurants, or any other location to have the meet would also be good.

Lake of the Ozarks. Plenty of places down there to go and eat! (good scenery on the lake in the summer too!)

Just looked. Camdenton is a little over 3 1/2 hours from here. Seems like a good place near the lake. Perhaps a park or something? I don't know where you usually meet.

nothing has really been established as to where we generally meet... I don't know the area there all that well, but know how to get there and such. Hopefully someone more familiar can help out... It is a bit further south, but at least there is something worth going there for other than just the meet... keeps wives happier, and also makes it more worth the trip. My wife has a cousin that lives in Camdenton as well, been through there a few times.

Lake of the Ozarks doesn't sound bad, would need some help getting a location around there for the meet. I have only been there once. I usually go to Table Rock down by Branson since my parents have a house down there. Any other suggestions?

Anyplace will be all right with me.A central location would be best i would think.Anyone camp?Maybe a STATE PARK would work out good.Of course I love to camp.Last year we camp in ILLINOIS and a car club had a meet at the park we stayed at. looked like it worked out for all.We could meet and BBQ or something.Just a thought.
ART.

The Illinois chapter does have meets in state parks. Nice thing about those kind of places is that there isn't a lot of other peole around to interfere, it all depends on what everyone wants to do. Most of the meets I have had with the Iowa chapter have just been like friends getting together, bs, talk about anything and everything, show off our trucks if we have them there. Other times we can coincide with some kind of event, but I have enjoyed the simple meets. Since we are still a maller crowd, bowling alleys work out as well, gives us something to do WHILE we bs...

A state park might be a good option. They should have plenty of parking, and maybe a pavilion to use. Any place with a good amount of parking and food or some way for us to make our own food will work. We're getting some good ideas here, let's here some more.
