When do classes usually start in MO? The colleges (where I work) usually start the 15th (or so) of August. Neither one has the fall schedule online yet (sad part is I built/maintain the website for one ). Don't let me mess up anyones dates though.

MSU (or whatever the name is now) starts the 21st. Thats all clear for whichever weekend it would be.

If fellro86 posted that there would be women there, more guys would show up. Instead, he says they will be off shopping.

Where is the fun in that? (sorry...couldn't resist)

I'm not always on-line to post replies but after reading all of your ideas I would be very keen on attending a state wide meet. I'd vote for a weekend preferably a Saturday, then I could camp over and drive home on Sunday). I'd also like to throw out a suggestion for holding it at or near a 4x4 park and perhaps we could while away the time helping each other get through the trails. A state park link is below, I have no idea how central it is but perhaps there is one somewhere near Lake of Ozarks, etc. http://www.mostateparks.com/stjoe.htm
Just my 2 cents worth, keep the ideas coming.

How would Saturday August 5th around 1:00 p.m. sound to everyone? We just need to come up with a specific location. If we do the Lake of the Ozarks I need someone around there that could get things setup for the meet. We would need a place with a nice size parking lot and either somewhere to get some food and drinks or somewhere we could bring in coolers and make our own food.

eknispel - I too like the idea of getting a bunch of guy's together to go off-roading together but it limits the amount of people that could attend since not everyone has 4 wheel drive. Maybe we could get some guy's together on another day to do that. I'll try to talk to 87ford4x4inline6 about it he knows alot of the parks in the area and might know of one that is central to everyone.

Wh9ile I'm not afraid to take my 86 off the road, I have to be careful not to hurt it too much, as it is my workhorse, and can't afford to break it just messing around... But it sure would be kind of fun to go on a ride like that, but it definitely can lock out some of us.

Shocker is broken at the moment, but it should be fixed before long. He has a BII project going as well. (I knew him from another board years ago). He lives not too far from there. I forgot.

My daily is a 4X4 (explorer), but will not be taken off-road. I owe way too much on it to mess it up yet. The 56 is certainly not an off-road ride, if I were able to drive it up by then. Perhaps you off-road types could stay over and do the trail ride that Sunday when the rest of us go home?

Saturday August 5th at 1 PM sounds like a good start.

Aug. 5th is cool for me. I am from the lake so I can take care of everything if need be. I just need to know an exact date and time. I will do both days and can set up some 4x4 stuff for the 4x4ers if you want? I don't know if I can join in on it 'case I don't have one YET. I hope soon though.

If you guys and gals want to camp my wife's family has a couple 100 acres to camp on.Some of it has a pond to fish and so forth. It would be free and we can have the meeting at a place called Ha Ha Tonka State Park. Not to far from my wife's family place.I could set that up too, but don't know how much that is.I will get the web sight soon and find out.

So just let me know and I can have it done in a couple of weeks and were set.If the 4x4ers can let me know what the want rocks, mud, and etc. I will work on that too.The lake has a variety of 4x4 stuff so it can be a 4x4ers heaven let me tell you after growing up there.

I will say this much if you guys and gals want it at the lake (Lake Of The Ozarks) it will be the time of your life!

So just let me know and I can have it all set up and ready to go within a couple of weeks! If there is a problem with children my wife's mother is a liberian and love's kid's so we have a good baby sitter too.My kids love her.

So Know Excuses Lets Do This!!

Let Me Know A Date and Weekend and We Can Have A Blast and I Can Guarentee It!!!

Build it and they will come.....or we will try our best to. Now we know dates to start planning for.

I should know a lot more by this time next week about how the summer will go financially (I hope!).

As soon as we get a set location I'll start a new thread and have it stickied at the top of the chapter forum. We can use this thread to plan everything.
