I think that it sounds like it would work for us. This being are first event we're going to have to live and learn a little so if it doesn't work out like we plan we can always do something else next year.

I would say go ahead and get us put down for it let me know when you need the money and I can send it to them or reimburse you.

Thanks again ford_truck_man for all your help putting this together and to everyone that has helped with all the great suggestions.

If you can get me an exact address I'll start a new thread and have it stickied at the top of the forum.

Looks like about 40 gallon of fuel to run my truck down. So at whatever the price is at that time... I may have better funds by then, just have to see how things are looking closer to time... You only have to get over here to Luray, about 30 west of Keokuk. I think it's about 50 from Ft Madison.. Otherwise, we can see how we will handle it at that time.

Other than eating and talking trucks? Whats else is there?!

Kidding. I have no idea really. I have never been to one of these.

Hey Brian,
There is a sandy beach were you can swim and there is also a marina that rents boats and jet ski's. They also have a boat launch if anyone has a boat. The beach is in the back of a cove that is roped off to regular traffic so if anyone has a canoe or a row boat it is a perfect place. They may also rent them but not sure.
Hope this helps.

Don't forget to post in the thread stickied at the top of the forum to let us know who is going to attend.

I figured we would eat, talk trucks, and show off the trucks. I was also thinking we could do like horseshoes or washers.

Volleyball is a good suggestion.

I guess we really don't have to plan too much on that stuff, if it's there people will do it.

not to throw a damper on some of it, as much as I like to play sports like that, I can't do much that way any more, Horse shoes I could get away with, volleybal maybe if I don't get into it like I used to, but softball for me is out... But by no means, don't let that stop anyone from doing it. Just that I may not be alone in that particular problem...

I figure we will probably do more talking and looking at the trucks, but also thought some guy's might like to toss a few shoes or washers.

So far, that has been my experience. Last meet I had, we went bowling. We spent more time bs'ing about things than we did bowling... can't tell you even who won the most....
