Don't know if I will be around sunday or not. Our local car club is doing a group picture in the pm with our cars/trucks.

Also, I heard of an early Bronco for sale. 70's model, for about 500. Should I buy it if it isn't a basket case? I know this is the wrong group to ask.

Saturday @ 10:30 sounds good ... looks I have a buddy that is going to bring his 4 wheeler, and maybe a guy in a toyota, and another in a jeep. (both are maybes)... KBKATHRI wats to play...just a little ... in his escape, but will probably ride with me most of the time.

Question.. I found a donor truck that has power assisted stering, not true power steering... (has a cylinder down on the axel, instead of power on the steering box) for $50... Do you think that would be ok?? I want power steering, but would the power assist system get me by (cheaply) Until I find a better trail rig? The power asisst is off of a 70 and mine is a 66... so my research (on fte) tells me it will fit no problem... I was just wondering of the opinions here. (I'll post this both in the '60s and the 4x4 forum)... Thanks

The power assist will work fine if it doesn't leak but they can be rebuilt. Do you get everything to attach it to your 66 ?

Flip, you may get it in and if it works OK, just leave it and not worry about the change to a newer style unit. Lots of the after market mail order places for older Ford pickups still sell those units.

Cool You guys made up my mind... I just told him I would take it. I get all the front end parts I want off of the truck for $50 :-) and the hoses and power steering pump!!! I may take the axel too (just in case- at no extra charge mind you).

My friend in the Jeep can't go so it is down to the guy in the toyota and the guy in the 4 wheeler that will be with me... + kbkathri, 97Centurion & Husker ... It should be fun!! I'm just sorry I can't go Sunday..
