At this point I am not sure about that. I have found though that my fuel and tires are lasting a lot longer sitting in the driveway.

Where did you find one? I know it is out there someplace just haven't looked in the right corner yet. Looks like time to clean the garage out again and then we will probably find the thing.

I posted a wanted on the other boards and a guy back east had one and the rod I also need that conected to the tranny.

This is a popular tranny for a v-8 swap and now a bunch of folks are using them when the A4LD dies in Explorers, Rangers and BII's. Rebuilt A4LD is about $1500 carry out. C-5 upgraded with the c-4 valvebody and v-8 stuff $500. And the C-5 will outlast the A4LD. Only trouble is you lose the over drive.

Many don't bother with converting the shifter and just through those parts away. Most just get an aftermarket shifter.

The junk yards I talked to won't pull a shifter either. Too much work and not enough $$$'s in return. I still need a dip stick and tube. I have an aftermarket chromemum job but Clints says it just keeps cutting the o ring when he puts it in.

Thing is this tranny was only put in some 83-84 Rangers and the 84 BII. The only other source for some parts is the 70's Mustang/Capri with the 2.8 and C-4. Just not a large pool of parts to begin with.

Will since none has posted a date besides Flip, I think I'll be there on the 22nd of October also. I know Rollie was wanting to go the 15th but do to some unfortunate incidents, My BII probably won't be back together before that weekend.

Thanks to someone I love and adore ... It needs a clutch. Just no time to install one for a week or so.
