what would cause my gauge to stop working?

I think Mil1ion is introducing you to the search function. A bad ground at the tank is a good place to start.

a ground is what i was going to suggest that or the sending wire gor niked or shorted someonere on the frame has happened to my 79 a few times since i did my converstion to a 302EFI

My thought was, If it isn't in any of these threads I don't where it is & I don't have time to type out the complete trouble-shoot instructions
