I will dish them out, it is usually to something I have found very useful, providing great descriptions, or just following the guidelines in a slightly "hostile" situation.
I also try to put a description in there why I gave the points, this way not only the user knows WHY they deserve them, but it gives them more points
umm.... I guess I'm a retard. I give out points when someone gives good info. Like when I had carb problems. However when I go to usercp I don't see any numbers for my rep. Not even the 10 we start with. Where do I look?
I can tell you this, It is one of the toughest things a person with any authority has to deal with.Constant interaction with thousands & thousands of people overtime. To be thought of or receive something as little as a nice thing to say from a person means a lot, after you have toiled for hours & hours a day.
I can tell this too, being in the top 5 (was 2nd for a quite a while) of the reputation list and actually Knowing that I earned them & not just given to me out of the blue from people, is has been very rewarding.
The tough part of this system is those people who send Negative rep for no other reason than to taunt you.
So far, with at least 20,000+ posts about tech questions answered or being re-directed to a place for the answer.
I'm glad more people know about this way of rewarding someone for the time they took to let someone know you helped them.
Thanks you to those who sent me positive comments.
Mil1ion.....Top 5 on reputation?????
Congradulations. You definatley earned that!
I don't think there is any one that gives as many answers as you do, and it never fails that you usualy have a diagram or picture so that a person can get the visual. Reach around and pat your self on the back.
Doc.
yeah he's kinda like inspector gadget. he always seems to have the right sruff for the job and sometimes he whips out diagrams that i have never seen before or that i never thought existed yet he seems to have them all.

Yep, and there's nobody here that knows more about the different options that came and did not come on the 73 to 79 models.
He's definately more of an Inspector Gadget than a Mil1ion.
LOL! He handels those diagrams like Clint Eastwood handels a 44.
Doc

I don't know about administrators or moderators on other forrums.....but on our forrum 73 - 79's, He was "IT" on a stick! I hope he at least sticks around and pops in from time to time. I just can't see our forrum being the same with out him.
