Introduce Ourselves!
Casey
Troy from Palmer, born in Anchorage in 1964 and I've maintained my residency the entire time, being out of state for college and the US Coast Guard for a total of of about 7 years combined. I love this state!
I just joined FTE today and posted in the 1997-2003 F150 forum before I knew there was an Alaska chapter or I would have posted here. I own a 1990 F150 and a 1997 F150. My wife owns a 99 Mustang. I also own a couple of others that I'll not mention to avoid incriminating myself.
I'm one of two ford owners in a family that likes Dodges (I know!) and they've been driving them so many years that I don't know if they can be rehabilitated - but I love them anyways, I mean, what else are you going to do?
Anyways, good to read all your posts!

Keep a look out for me as I live in Palmer also. Red F350 Supercab PSD with the Ford-Trucks.com windshield logo.
Enjoy this great weather.!!
Yeah, I think I've seen your truck a time or two. I am enjoying the weather though I'll be doing a compression tonight on my 97 f150 since I found coolant and oil in the plug holes.

My name is Mike from north Wasilla(almost Big Lake). I'm towards the end of a ground up restoration and full engine rebuild on a '77 F150 Flatbed for my daughter...at least that's what I tell my wife. My first paint job turned out awesome, and I should have the rest of the motor back this week for assembly..hopefully. It was already a runner, but soon to be faster, smoother, and an all out Smokin77. I used this site throughout the rebuild and appreciated all the help. I also have a '95 F350 Powerstroke that cranks out 450hp/720lbs of torque.....just can't afford to put diesel in it right now.....

Also good to hear from Arctic.
Well my update. I have been working straight for 6 weeks with not too much time off. I did make a trip over to Anchorage but did not get any takers for dinner. Sunday is my last day at my current job then I will only have one for a short period of time. I will be out of commission for about 6 weeks this summer to replace/repair a bulging/herinated disc C6. Heck after the initial week of surgery I actually will have time to sit around and do some computer items.
Summer: Me and WilliesSD250 have been throwing around a camping trip sometime this summer. After I actually get my dates for surgery and see if I get a new job that I applied for I would like us to REALLY try to have a summer get-together.
Also Chris truck has a "NASCAR" vanity plate so when you see his red F350 ask him for a duck fart.
Chris - I will be over the 3rd for a Dr. Appt. Are you home that time? If so lets get together.

Chris. I'll be in Anchorage the 3rd for my doctors appt. Once I have a date I would like to schedule a camping get together. How does dip-netting on the copper sound???

What day? I'll be at Prov at 2pm on the 3rd for another MRI then off to Anchorage Neurosurgry for a consult. I will most likely stay the night and drive back the next morning depending on when I get out of the Dr. Office. Heck I might drive over the day before that way I dont have to get up so darn early to make my 2 pm apt.
Chris- Hello are you there? Must be out on the platform.

I just picked up a 1966 F100 Shortbed with a 300 I6 and four speed tranny. Needs a lot of body work (rust) but it does run good especially after I put a set of lifters in her and got the new gaskets in place. Going to start on the brakes this week and check out the exhaust while I got her in the air. Anyhow, hope to talk to you folks down the line and I'll let you know how the project is coming along.
My name is Rhonda, from np/fairbanks. I'm new to the FTE world... Have come into a 65f100... plans to slowly but surely put it back up on the road... significanat other and I do lots of fishing during the summer, anywhere north or south of Fairbanks/NP, as well as other family related outdoor activities... we're working on getting little ones involved with the fishing as you can see from the pic :-)
Hopefully there are some people out there who know where to get GOOD parts for this truck of mine? Any advice, ideas, etc are more than welcome!
Nice to know there are friendly ford folks in the area!!!
