OK so we got a nice list going here, is there anything we can discuss within this topic, rather then making it just a list of occupations. That way we can get a little content out of the thread and more interaction. Any ideas for topics guys/gals?

Automotive Diagnostic Electrical Engineer.
I worked for several years on Ford's SBDS (Service Bay Diagnostic System) making sure that it could communicate with the vehicles. I left Ford and went to work on several automotive flight recorders, and end-of-line test systems.
(I've even contributed to the current WDS system at the Ford dealerships, although not much since it is outsourced)--wife still works there...

I'm an Industrial Control Electrician, program PLC's and develop graphic control screens for systems used in manufacture's production lines. Sometimes boring but pays very well and enjoyable when troubleshooting production problems.

I'm a Parts manager at an auto repair shop. It's nice being to see recurring failures in certain vehicles before I shop for a new truck Kind of an inside line that most people don't find out about.

I am an 18 year old ged graduate that is working towards a diploma in diesel powered equipment technology. Diesel mechanic for the lay person. I have been there for two years, and have about 6 months left to go. I hope to work for john deere soon. It's amazing how mechanics from the dealerships fix a tractor out in the field by hooking up a laptop to the onboard ecm.

After being out of work since 9/30/03 I'm going back to work. Signing with the Boeing company tomorrow for a quality engineering position in San Antonio. Not to be confused with quality control. Anyway, the work done over there is mostly modifying and overhaul of refueling airplanes.

Heavy equipment operator - partial to my Caterpillar 963 trackloader, but I'll run whatever ya got! (Yea - I get paid to play in the dirt and listen to turbo diesels whine)!!! Nice! I was in carpentry for 4 years before this job, and I do some welding on the side.

I drive one of those Big Trucks that you see on the road, you know the ones that people don't see when they pull out in front of, or is it the one that has alot of brakes on it so therefore it is easier to stop.........Truck Driver...(stick hauler).........
