For some reason, getting any info on this flash is difficult. All I was told was that it is not for all 6.0's. I don't have direct access to their documentation so I don't know what models it applies. I'll keep digging around.

I like the way it runs. I am just running a tank through so I can get an idea on the mileage.

This is the same problem I am having, no one wants to release information on it...makes no sense.
Wonder if Big could get us some info?

My truck is going in today at 2:15 to get re-programed. I sure hope it is better than the last program, it was terrible.

Ford has called me for a yearly inspection of my truck, is this normal or are they trying to tests this new flash? I would like a few more mpgs has anyone found an improvement?

07/03 build date.

I have seen those repeatedly also, I have never thought about anything other than it is normal....great way to get you in and sell you something else...like oil change, rotate the tires...

Well I just got back from getting the new flash. So far so good. It feels like I have regained the power lost from my previous flash (beginning of Sept.). Hopefully I will get my fuel milage back to where it was also. Give me a couple of tanks and I will let you all know.

That is where I am. Feels good. I have about 140 miles on the first tank. All around town driving. I'll run the full tank through it.

140 miles is one day for me, let us know asap about the MPGs. I need to bring mine in and I'm considering having the new flash done.

15.5 MPG Hiway

I was getting 17.8 highway stock tune before the new flash according to the tech who was riding along with his WDS computer hooked up. Something wrong with 15.5 highway if you aren't loaded or towing.

Please do keep us informed for both the '04 & '03 flashes as my early Oct '03 engine build could use a mileage bump as could my buddies '03's.

If power is improved it would be a bonus but, I wonder if it will be a noticable difference with aftermarket programing or if the programer will negate the flash power improvement? An incremental increase?

Na...surely not...MPG and power gain?...all at the same time?...one flash?

One (well maybe thousands) can only hope.

Could be veddy interestink.

All of the above is why I've said in other threads that I do not want any reflashes or computer checks done to my 04 6.0. I can live with the 10 seconds of surging when I start up or any other "very minor" inconvience. When asked at the dealer when it's in for service my answer is always the same. "I like it the way it is leave it alone". I like my pilot injector and what I consider to be very acceptable mileage. The truck weighs 3 tons+..When I want mileage I drive my Honda (assembled in America) Civic HX...Good Luck to all

diesel milage

I have driven a diesel for many years and the reason that I spend $5000.00
additional is not to impress my friends. I buy for 2 reasons fuel economy and dependability. This 6.0 stinks as far as fuel economy goes. Don't get me wrong, I love the & truck hate the engine. I traded a Boo! Dodge diesel which gave me 13mpg towing a 11000 lb 5th wheel at 70mph I'm lucky to get that empty with this truck. A big disappointment. Has anybody had any luck with aftermarket air filters and exhaust systems. At $2.20 It would not take long to pay for one.

I think we need some more info, like year... engine build date...no matter

I wouldn't put all the 6.0 in that category. I have an f250 4x4 with a shell and get 15 around town and 19-20 on the road.

Like Tim asked, what is the engine build date? What is the configuration? Mods? Tires?

Got flashed today along with the HFCM recall. Haven't noticed any performance difference, or starting abilities. I will say I am impressed with how much it firmed up shifts in tow/haul and regular driving. I will post after I finish my tank in another 3 or 4 days.

Best of Luck,
Corey
