where did you come up with this tidbit of information? Is it on the 05's and maybe it's something new??? Just wonder if this has been known for a while by the programer manufacturer's or if it's just something some tech told you? Or is it only if you don't take it out before you go?
Its on my 2003 6.0 diesel and the guy who reads the codes told me because 5 or 6 other 6.0l psd says the same thing with the reprogrammers and I always take mine out before i go to Ford but its still detectable
Supposedly, per the all programmer manufacturers that claim to be "untraceable", i.e.; Superchips, Diablo; the only trace left behind is a record identical to disconnecting the batteries.
Yes, if anyone knows the exact definition of a "Phoenix" code, please elaborate. I have read numerous manuals and programming guides from Ford specifically made for the 6.0 and spoken to both certified 6.0 techs at my dealership and have never heard this name for any specific code before (not saying it's not right, just haven't heard of or seen it until tonight). Please inform us all.
