Around here are mostly asphalt shingles.. The house we just bought has a new roof with 30 year shingles on it. With the snow and hail and stuff like that around here not much else will hold up long...About the only thing with metal roofs around here are sheds

LOL, would you believe there are metal shakes that really look good. They probably cost a lot though.

Oh I believe that but I cant afford to pay $2.00 a square foot for something like that

Mike are you into Ham Radio's? If so I found a big box full of Ham Radio magazines you can have if you want them. I havent had time to look threw them to see the dates but the few I grabbed where from 2003-2004. I cant think of the name of the mag right off hand they are in my truck.. If you want them I can send them to you (you pay shipping of coarse )

That sounds like the name. There was a bankers box sitting on a dock I delivered to that was full of them, I pulled out a couple to see what they where (thinking "adult content mag's ) and found a catalog for obsolete ford parts and asked the guy who's they where and he said his that he was throwing them away so I grabbed them thinking they where ford related, got them home to find out there was only a few ford related mags

See ya Taz. I've been around at work tonight but I've been busy with other things. I was reading the trader with a highlighter, an ink pen and the internet to see if some stuff might be worth what folks were asking or not. Anyway i found some real values that I may just have to look in to this weekend, which starts for me in 3 hours.

Anybody else around?

It's good to know I'm not the only one that works swing shift. I am on days this week, then starting Friday I'll get seven off then it's back to night shift. I operate several pipelines in the southeast and midwest. I guess my job is similar to electrical transmission control or air traffic control. My wife says I pass gas for a living.

Beast, GAS pipelines, as in natural gas? Do you have a line that crosses the Mississippi River at Grand Tower, IL (next to the Ameren CIPS Power Plant)? Do you have another that branches off of that one a few miles east of the river and runs almost due north on the west side of Murphysboro, IL continuing north? If so I have hunted along several miles of the pipeline you operate. Not that it means a whole heck of a lot but here on midnights you can find simple otherwise uninteresting things fascinating. BTW welcome to our midnight club.

No, that's not mine. The systems I operate and/or monitor are primarily in Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, Viginia and Georgia. As far as the product on my systems; it's Gasoline, Diesel and some Jet Fuel. I used to operate a huge Propane pipeline that ran from Beaumont, TX to Apex, NC.

And most pipeline right-of-ways make great hunting locations, just don't shoot any above ground block valves!!!

I haven't shot at one yet but I've heard they make great leaning posts when you need to stop and have a few smokes. LOL

Actually I am an ethical hunter that doens' shoot stuff for puyrposes of vandalism, now if that block valve was giving me some crap I may have to fire away! LOL

Beast, FYI, it's an unspoken rule to sign out at the end of your shift. SOOOO
Fellas I'm signing out of here, weekend starts in 10 minutes, I'm taking off for my Sunday mornin shift so I'll sign back in at 2300 on 10/31/2004. I guess I get to missout on all the Halloween mayhem in a 24 hour emergency/maintenance/other office. Am I right Pep, does crazy stuff happen on Halloween?
I may stop in on my weekend but if I post I may be running on a few Coors Lights so you may not get the most intellegent posts.

Out of here boys!!
