Well, I went to church and helped out with Sunday School (got to put on a little puppet show). It wasn't too good, but the kids liked it.

The rest of the day I pretty much hung around... played a lot of Halo. Oh, and vacuumed the whole house.

It was drizzling this morning, then this evening started POURING for about 20 minutes, and now nothing. Any rain for you today Mike?

I had a little last night but none today. There is a chance of some for the next couple of days. I was on my roof at 1 am when I got home to redo my temporary patch job.

Howdy Chris!

Haha, I know what you mean, Mike. I remember my Dad having to go out at 1 or 2 in the morning to cover up editions that still had open roofs. He had his own construction business up until about 6 years ago. Ah, memories.

I've been there too for the cover up jobs before a big rain, usually mine was hay though instead of roofs, but once we had to cover teh barn roof before a rain arrived. Good place to be when a storm is coming, on a metal roof of a high pitched barn at the top with a large tarp that is catching wind. What is more dangerous in that situation, the wind + a very large tarp you are trying to hold on to or the lightning and a metal roof?I would have been around the last hour or so but i had a situation that came up that involved me blazing a new trail and pioneering a new path for a new and intricate situation that just came up. Luckily I'm good enough i could sit back, piece several things together, get everyone to exactly where they needed to be and everything got resolved, or at least literally didn't burn down.
Good morning Ryan!!

I made the situation sound like it was very difficult and made myself look important. I guess I am typical government employee now. Actually the call wasn't that difficult but the situation was slightly abnormal; we had no formal procedure for this situation in this particular area. So using pieces of procedures for other areas and bits of information from the on scene people I winged it and everything was resolved. I actually like sitauations like that, nothing bad happens and I always review what "I" did versus our Actions To Take Manual to check myself and refresh myself on other areas afterwards (typical man isn't it, do the work then look at the directions). But with no formal procedures who knows if I was right, at least nothing burned down.
