Yea, the kid says its gonna be a nice, cold, snowy winter.
Maxlife ATF in the Tranny and Transfer case. Gonna have RotellaT 5w40 in the motor when I come up. New thermostat, anti-freeze is good to -30*. I believe the truck is about ready. Oh, just need to change the rear diff fluids.

Yea.......thats kind alike the one in the barn. Except this one has a frame all the way around, and less junk....just motor and chain.

I wonder if that saw would do a better job thatn my Stihl 076, 029 or 024. Didn't look like it had a very ong bar on it though but it had a large motor. probably have to mount it to a front end loader to cut with it.

I dont imagine that thing would cut anymore than my John Deere. Judging by the condition of tha bar and chain, I doubt the thing even runs.

I imagine by the time you had a truckload cut you would be worn out. It looks HEAVY!

There's a thread "things we have in Canada" that is catching up to our sacred elite thread here. They're at almost 200, we need to do some party crashing.

The Farmers Almanac doesnt say much about a winter wonderland.
November 2004
1st-3rd. Sun, then clouds. 4th-7th. Rain, then clear, frosty. 8th-11th. Rapid temperature changes Great Lakes to Atlantic Coast. An intensifying storm moving east produces heavy dose rain/wet snow. Frigidly cold. 12th-15th. New storm moves toward Great Lakes, up into eastern Canada. Heavy rain/wet snow near, along storm track. Then clearing, cold. 16th-19th.Very cold air. Fast-moving storm reaching Lakes region provides heavy snow, then colder. 20th-23rd. Very warm air from Gulf of Mexico mixed with cold Canadian air brings rain, thunderstorms, especially Great Lakes. 24th-27th. Wet Thanksgiving. 28th-30th. Few rain/wet snow showers. Colder.
December 2004
1st-3rd. Rain/wet snow shifts east into the Great Lakes, points south to Kentucky. 4th-7th. Storm from Texas moves up to Ohio River Valley, depositing heavy rain, wet snow. Very cold. 8th-11th. A “winterlude” before next bout of wintry weather. Temperatures still well below seasonal norm. 12th-15th. Heavy snow, Great Lakes and all points east. 16th-19th. Another “wintermission” before next round of storms. Considerable cloud cover, but little precipitation. Nights seasonably cold; days milder. 20th-23rd. Rain/snow, then bitterly cold. 24th-27th. Sunshine, cold, dry. 28th-31st. Cold, dry.

I have a neigbor that reads that thing like a religion and from what they say it's usualy pretty accurate. I always tend to think that if you have a bad hay crop in a year that you'll hae a hellacious winter, just always seems to work that way, hard winters and no hay seem to go hand in hand.
