Well, it looks like rain for this weekend. I'm still a go if ya'll are.
Instead of chalklines and degradin' ourselves in front my neighbors, we may be on my front porch degradin' ourselves and flippin' off ricers as they go by.
The weather may affect my ability to smoke a butt because I don't have a shelter for the grill- but I will try.
We have never had a gearhead get togather canceled due to weather so this won't stop me, even if we have to do Bill's on Saturday and Gyro's on Sunday.
OR- we can be open to alternatives which we can discuss Friday night and go from there.
Since 3BC drives the farthest, those options will be left to him.
Inside or out I think we will have a great time.
On the possibility of an indoor or front porch Jam, could I please get an idea of the gearheads that ARE GONNA BE HERE?!?
Sound out please!!!
Old,
Me, DW and the kids are still planning to attend....the pop-up has seen heavy rain and wind so we should be fine.....Let's do like you say and discuss Friday night what the plans will be - Ready to get away, no rain to stop us this time...
55 pages is a lot of BBQ to read though. I am not sure if anyone mentioned the "Red Barn" in Lawrenceville, just off the square. Get there for biscuits in the morning. Oh, oh, Fan-freakin-tastic. Lunch is good too. Then come visit me, I 1/2 mile away.
We will have to remember that one when in the area...
It is with great frustration that I type this(again)……..us south Ga bare footed folks will not be able to make it – sorry and we will make it up somehow. Sorry for the last minute change, ya’ll have a blast and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. We always have a blast and it will happen another time..SORRY
Thanks for bein' here Larry, and thanks to all. Evil called today askin' fer A rundown- told him the basics, and about 3bc tape- he howled!!!!
Is AC/DC a lookin fer a new singer!!?!!
We've taken 'under our wings' a young military couple at our church. Our pastor mentioned having BBQ and hash for dinner Sunday (He had bought some Sconyers' on Saturday.). After church, the wife of the couple asked, "What is hash?" After trying to explain, without much luck, we just told them that we would take them to Sconyers this weekend. Gotta educate these young-uns, expecially if they're helping to defend our country!
Saturday evening, on the way back from Macon, the wife and I ate at the Old Clinton BBQ in Gray, Georgia. She had big bowl of Brunswick stew and I had a chipped pork sandwich. The stew was decent, the sandwich excellent!
Johnny
I had the rib plate on the run last Sunday from the place, it was good
