Neva returned to Atlanta last night on a flight from Austin, Texas and, on the way to our friends' house to spend the night in Sharpsburg, we got a quick bite at Manny's BBQ. It's in Fairburn on Hwy. 29, in what used to be Melear's building. We split a Texas-style beef briscuit plate, with Brunswick stew and baked beans. Good eating, Neva liked the stew even better than Harolds. Manny's has a lunch buffet Monday thru Friday, and on Sunday. So, next time we're up that way, we'll see if I can total-loss the buffet...

P.S. We had three fellows at our shop this week from Dayton, Ky. (Just below Cincy), so we took them to Sconyers for lunch Thursday. As with other first-timers there, once they got over the appearance of the hash, they pigged-out with us veterans! They all had the T-loin, I had the turkey. As Arnuld says, "They'll be baack!"

I tried a place called Fincher's in Albany this weekend. Had the AUCE ribs - they did not have any smoke flavor, taste like they were cooked in the oven......They claim to be Ga's best - we know dif..

If it's just gonna be us, howzabout we do it here instead of rentin' the shelter??
If more sign on we could rent the local park so kids have a playground, b ball, etc...

June third sounds like a winner. For now I got my bud ice, pbr, got ribs and burgers on the grill, got onion rings and mozzerella sticks to throw in the fryer. Wish you were all here. About to start a bonfire. Unfortunately it was a last minute plan. I am working on my parking problems so I can have some get togethers here.
