hey,
I'm Jess from Guthrie Center, Iowa where mid iowa mud assn holds annual mud bog/drag series. I am 20 and attend a ISU. I own a 1976 ford f250 4x4.
Hey all,
Sam from Davenport and proud owner of a 02 Sport Trac, 87 F-150 Custom, and a 63 F100. Just got the 63 a couple weeks ago - bought it in Omaha and drove it the 300mi across the state on Hwy92 - a long journey to say the least!
Worked for UPS for 18yrs now doing different jobs. Now I'm basically a valet (I park trucks) and hang around the mechs.
Mwoodman,
If I remember right, TruckerTaz doesn't work for UPS, he's a big Dale Jarret fan - GO 88.
that when we put together an East Central Iowa group event, you'll be able to join in. In the earliest of planing stages now, but already some very interesting possibilities.
As a 32 year career USPS employee, with the last six being in the transportation end, I have long since gotten past discriminating against UPS folks.
Is there really a living in being a parking valet in Davenport? Sounds like great job for someone who enjoys vehicles.
That right Sam I dont work for UPS just a DJ fan, for a long long time, since he drove the #18 interstate battery car
I look forward to meeting all our new IOWA members If we all can't make it to the meeting in Des Moines, I'm sure theres enuff of us on the eastern area to get together
There is absolutely no reason that those that cannot make it to one meeting can't make another of their own. I REALLY don't have to organize everything... anyone can call a gathering if they choose.
Oh I know fellro I was just saying no matter if we all make it to the meeting in Des Moines or not, those of us in the eastern section can still get together
Hey Jim...we share an employer...at least for one more day. I have 32 years with USPS in Cedar Rapids, and am retiring TODAY, after working the holiday. I'll bet we could share a bunch of stories.
I'm Steve, 43 years old and work at the Burlington Nothern Sante Fe Railyard in Galesburg, IL. I recently moved back to Monmouth, IL and was an over the road truck driver for 23 years.
I am a HAM Radio Operator and my user name here is my callsign. Maybe some of you have heard me on the Burlington and Fort Madison repeaters.
I have a 1978 F150 Explorer with 71,000 original miles, 302, auto. The cab and interior are in excellent shape and the bed is shot.
I also have (my DD) a 1984 Bronco II. I love this little SUV. It is incredible off road (Trail Riding, I dislike mud because it is muddy) and will climb anything. Except for headers, being Durasparked with a GM HEI Module a GM 100 Amp Alt (for Radio and stereo equipment) and larger tires it is stock. I intend to swap a 5.0 from my 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis into it in the spring.
I travel to Burlington quite often and have a sister in Winfield.
I chose the Iowa Chapter because I am very close and y'all seem allot more Western Illinois friendly then the Illinois Chapter (not a gripe, just being truthful).
I look forward to attending meetings in the future, and hope to meet some of you.
fellro86 has made it a point to make me feel welcome. Thanks fellro86!
