Nope...don't know Romelton. I graduated in 90... Ron was great, but you didn't want to get on his bad side either! One of the few teachers that always gave me an "a"...

Chet? HAHA

Chet is actually a teacher in MONONA? Yea...you see good 'ol Chet, tell him Mike say "HI"....Chet and I have a bunch of storys to tell. I will have to get his email address at school and drop him a line.

I can't go into too much detail, but i can promise the two of us saw the "office" many many times. We were in band together...both drummers and the precussion section was notorious for causing trouble and breaking things. Chet graduated 2 years behind me. Oh..the good old days.

I saw Chet a few years ago in Clive ( Des Moines ) at a street dance...at that point I was shocked that he was a teacher/coach...even more shocked that they let him back in Monona

I think he mentioned that he was married when I saw him in Clive a few years ago...maybe not... His wife must be a saint. I am working on getting his email address. If you happen to know it send it my way.

Hey, I'm Shane. Live in the Northeast corner of the state. Joined the chapter tonight. Been here pretty much forever around W'loo/CF. Moved up here for the wife, met her here and she grew up just across town from here. Oh here is Elma.

Anyway Don't know if I'll make a lot of the get togethers that I have to do much traveling for but I'll sure try. I like the idea of the youngsters paying, afterall we gotta go get it for 'em. I'm 30 by the way, just got officially old back in January. The kids made me old a long time ago.

Hey you guys from the W'loo/CF area do they still have the runs down in Mitchel pits or did all that get shut down permanently? Don't get down there much anymore but it'd be a great spot for a future meeting. No?

Yea it seems like there is always more to do than time for. Just towed my bro-in laws truck here, gotta put a tranny in it, But it's gotta wait till I have time, probably take out one bolt a day with the time I have, good thing he don't need it for two months (hunting season).

This was the test for my old F150. First time I drove her down the road and I had no problems. She didn't complain in the least, not even the one bald tire. Note to self: gotta change before the next hour trip.

Hey, how's everone doing, just joined a little while back and figured I better introduce myself. I'm Matt and live in the North Central part of the state (Clarksville) About 20 miles NW of waterloo. I currently don't own a ford truck but I'm trying like #### to find myself a highboy! You can find a couple of threads on here about my attempts. Hey Shane glad to see someone from my area, I'm originally from Cedar Falls and I actually work with a guy that lives in Elma. This is def. an awesome forum and hopefully will get to meet with some of you in the future.

Matt

Kinda makes the makes the idea of "local" chapters, can't fimd the words I am looking for too much reading tonight, sound like a good idea. Then those of close like this can get together. We need someone to donate an acre or two of swamp or wetland to the cause for some mudding get togethers around here.

So Matt where do you work/ what's the guys name shoot a pm if you want to keep it off the board. I don't know a lot of people around here as I keep to myself most of the time but I know a couple

Hi my name is rick and I am living in centerville. Lived here on and off for several years (dad's family is here). I am driving an 1984 F-250 HD 4x4 460 full float axles the whole nine yards. Went to welding school a year ago in jacksonville to learn welding and came back here to find that there is not much use for "High
end" welders i.e. pipe welders HF TIG welding around here. spent acouple of years buildiing desert racing vehicles ( dune buggies and baja bugs) to race in several score events including 96-98 Baja 250 and1000. It was a lot of fun. I have been gone taking care of some buisness and am back waiting for the next meeting so I can meet you all.

Welcome back to Iowa Rick. I know up here there is a lot of welding jobs but I don't know what there is for high end stuff. Hope you find something to not waste the skills on.

Got a good design for a basic buggie you'd be willing to share? I've been considering something like that for a project for the welding classes I'm taking now, if I can make it to next semester. Thinking more standard inline 4, v6, or 8, street legal, you know another toy. Got a few other ideas but I've been considering this for years and haven't had the resources to do it. Shoot me a pm or an email if you could/would help out.

Shane
