The Cummins loses more power in the drivetrain than Ford so the actual rear-wheel performance numbers aren't reflected by what the hp and torque ratings are.

One real nice thing about the PSD though was it's resale value. I got a great value for my trade. Matter of fact, back in June I had a dealer offer to give me what I paid for the truck. The PSDs hold their value real nicely. I only had my truck for about a year and a half and had a significant amount of equity due to the high resale value. Now, that isn't Fords in general. F-150s are a dime a dozen. They don't hold their value at all. Thats gassers as a rule though no matter who makes them. But when you sell more of a vehicle than anybody else, that also means there are a ton of them on the market...thus the low F-150 value.
