Welcome to the Mo chapter, my folks are both from St Joseph originally and they lived in Belton a long time ago when Richards Gebaur was a active AF base and my dad was stationed there....yes along time ago.
One of my aunts lived in Harrisionville and then Grandview, and my sis lives around the Kingsville/ Holden area, so I know the state pretty good to.
Ck out the Mo chapter members map, there are a lot of FTE folks around KC, and once again welcome.
Welcome to the FTE Missouri chapter, FYI you have a fellow FTE neighbor, BORDERBUM is in Brookline also. And about to do a diesel swap into a 79 4x4 F250.
I moved around a lot growing up, I grew up for 12 years in North KC near Liberty and Gladstone.
Then we moved down to Republic, just west of Springfield.
After my parents split up (I was about 14) I lived in Springfield for a couple months, before staying in Overland Park for another couple months, then Blue Springs, and now I live in Raytown.
This state looks the same no matter what part you live in.
I think I've seen your truck around my neck of the woods, I live in Park Meadows Apts. right now 79th and James A. Reed. We should have some beers or something and shoot some pool up at the Flamingo Lounge sometime this week, it's by 67th and Blue Ridge Blvd. That's my normal bar, I go up there once a week to let some steam off & hang with my buddy Ben. Think of it as an unsanctioned Raytown/KC FTE member meet if you want Wednesday, or Thursday would be better for me, I won't be busy packing to move those days.

He was stationed there in the mid to late 70's I do believe...I said a long time ago. lol I remember Banister Mall being open and a good place to go.
I remember before the "triangle" was re-built and Chucks Boots use to be in Truman Corners...on the west side of 71, I think, like I said it was a long time ago.
I use to go to a bar in Grandview called the Copper Penny, and have been a few times to GI's (General's Inn) what use to be a great country bar some where in KC??
And I seem to remember a great country bar out in Blue Springs off 70 or hwy 50??
I was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa in 1953 then in 1954 my family moved to Los Angeles County.
I lived in Long Beach, California from 1955-56 until March of 2005 when I moved to Landers, California located in the Mohave Hi-Desert.
I left Landers on January 28, 2009 and moved to Versailles, Missouri. Then to Tipton and ultimately here in Boonville. I like it here both in Boonville and also Missouri.

See why I do not drink any more....lol.
I remember delivering the hundreds of bundles of rolled paper, that had city plans, to all the local construction & architectural firms. It was illustrations, designs, architectural addendums, templates, sketches, & technological bulletins, of how they would remake the entire Grandview Triangle, and Bannister Complex, Hillcrest, and Benjamin Ranch areas. I got a hold of them 1 year before they actually started working on it all (2003-2004).
I remember when Robert's-Albright was one of the best dealers to go to on the South KC side to get yourself a Ford truck, that's actually where mine came from lol. I remember when HQ and Builder's Square in south KC weren't owned by Sam's Club. I remember when the last 2 White Castle's were still selling burgers like hotcakes the one in Grandview (Truman Corners), and the one on 61st and Troost that was 2002.
I remember when the Pizza in Raytown still had an all night buffet (2001), I also remember when Benchmark went out of business because one of my uncles used to deliver for them (2000). I remember when Venture's was still around at Bannister, before they moved out of the building that Home Depot sits next to now.
I remember in the late 70's and early 80's visiting my aunt when she worked for Torotel Industries in Grandview off Hwy 71. Now they are Torotel Products in Olathe, KS.
And now I have to go to Columbia, Eureka or St Louis to get White Castle's. That is my excuse to make a craigslist Ford truck parts run since I am there.

Haha I'd love to take you up on the pool buddy but I can't drink yet (I'm 19)
You might've seen my truck. I go down to that indoor go kart track/arcade/biker bar off 350/Blue Ridge Cutoff by that gun store and sutherlands to watch UFCs every now and then. Other than that I don't spend much time around Raytown, most of my business is at school in NKC, Independence and sometimes I go to my buddys farm out in Odessa. I like to see all the old trucks driving around Raytown, but I'm not exactly sure they're there for the right reasons.

I'm in Raytown too. Been here for 17 years now. Too bad it keeps going down hill every time you turn around. I Lived in Mission & Merriam KS prior to that.
