I have been to Macon a lot because I used to work out of Kirksville, MO. Grew up about 45 miles northeast of Kirksville in Centerville, IA.

I live about 15 miles east of Memphis, MO or about 25 miles west of Kahoka, MO. Thats about 200 miles north of St. Louis. This is way out in the sticks.

Ok, now you have me scratching my head... I am 15 east of memphis, but 12 west of Kahoka... 25 west of Kahoka puts you fairly close to Memphis... I'm just outside of Luray.

I can see how you would be confused. By road, im about 15 miles southeast of memphis on Route U. And by road, im about 25 miles from Kahoka. I live about 3 miles northwest of Gorin.

After I had posted that, I got to thinking that was probably the area to which you referred. I go by there on the way to Rutledge when I go, mostly to go visit a friend of mine that used to be a vendor, now he just goes to visit. I'm right at the intersection of Clark county A and 136.
